Interesting read in the New Scientist this month about the self and is it just a trick played on us by our own minds. Article argues that we have to remind ourselves every day when we wake up just who we actually are after forgetting our sense of self whilst we are asleep. Furthermore, as we are only really ever changing atoms and masses of energy when is 'you really you', if that makes sense. Does anyone have any theories regarding their or others sense of self?

I think they're wrong to be honest. When I dream I tend to dream about things that have been with me while awake. Hence my self hasn't turned off.

Isnt this another of your re-posts?

Someone accused me of having way too much of a sense of self.

I think we all have alien subconciousnesses

Don't read the new scientist for god sake, its a comic full of rubbish. Might as well read the lancet if you want to laugh at bollocks science.
