It looks like Vincent Tan is determined to force further re-branding through at our neighbours at Cardiff City, seems he does not care whether the fans up there support it or not. See link http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21604568 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-21618835#asset Video segment of Tan's interview Sport Wales 7pm tonight Cheers Mabon
"But when we get there we'll make a decision. And when we make a decision we will convey it to everyone." Nice attitude there Tan - their fans can just wait around until he decides what he wants to do.
What a position to be in with like it or lump it attitude which will p**s off a few (those with the balls that is) ,he's not there because he loves the place thats blatantly obvious he'd walked way without a back ward glance. We are truly blessed
Malaysian Red Dragons? It's clear from the BBC article and interview, that the Bluebirds are dead, and have been replaced by a new Malaysian club based in Wales! Shame on the directors to have allowed this to happen. We really need to forget now all previous past issues of the Bluebirds, as they no longer exist, and embrace this new Malaysian team, this will be the first Malaysian team to have played in the Premiership, so lets welcome Malaysia's new Red Dragons!..................... PS: Swansea City will remain uniquely the only Welsh team in the Premiership, the pride of Wales! Look out for the Debt for equity swap next for the Redtits.......................... please log in to view this image
Its turning into a horror story for our neighbours but when they let tan get away with the colour rebranding he knew he could then get away with murder on other aspects and so it looks like the next phase of his plan for his plaything is moving foreward. I feel a bit sorry for the genuine fans there as like us thier very proud of thier team and city so maybe thier only hope now is to let tans tyranical rule run its course and hope when he eventually leaves them that they are still in a position to carry on trading as a club and to protect the copy rights of thier original name etc so they can just change it all back to the way it used to and should be before tan the merciless got them by the short and curlys.
As the 'Bluebird' is no more, we need a new nickname for the Red Dragons, but it must appeal to Asian markets? I'm thinking 'lemon chicken' or 'special fried rice' ? What you think!.............. PS Maybe the 'Minokawa', Minokawa is a giant bird that belongs to the dragon family, not sure on colour though!......... please log in to view this image
I think I broke a rib! Bony boy Dare, no Double dare you to post it you know where as they , the poor darlings may not know whats coming ( no don't go there ) next!
Mean while somewhere in Asia, "Yo Ting, Tong, Wong, Wan theres this new club in the Prem League they are bottom of the table and play terrible football but that play in red and have dragons in theyre name, lets go get all our friends and family to support them!.......................
I'm sure I saw a quote somewhere earlier saying that if he walks he will request the 60 something million back that he LOANED them! Weren't they supposed to have a 100m investment from this guy from changing shirts? If so how the **** are they still 80 mil in debt after this guy has supposedly loaned them 60 odd mil!? Loaning is not investing mr tan! You pay loans back!!
Did he just compare a football club to a cinema? My days, I'd genuinely be terrified if this guy was running our club!!
That was an intresting interview with mr tan ! i havnt laughed so much in ages, the blank faces on those malaysians when asked have you heard of cardiff city ? With his money they should make it to the prem this year in red bird style !
Just when I thought things couldn't get any better after wembley Days like this I wish John Hughs wasn't banned
I hear we are having a third kit for next season, specifically for one game, and it`s ......................... ....................................... All BLUE.
as a swansea fan i could laugh at vincent tan's plans for cardiff but as a football fan it is about time that this sort of take over and rebrand just for profit is looked into! he says that if the fans are 'rude to him' he will bail out! who does he think he is? i may not like cardiff but no club deserves to be treated like this!!! cardiff should always be the blue birds! who the hell are the red dragons???
I don't post on their board (occasional chat with Aber) but I have just read through their thread and have come to some conclusions. Firstly I need to apologise to Liverpool fans for calling them the most deluded fans going. I was wrong and I take it back, I can't believe some of the buffoons they have on there. I had forgotten how bad Bob and the gang are. Also I saw the TV interview and the bloke really does remind me of that North Korean bloke Kim Jong something. A power mad little hitler. I bet he shags his birds wearing that ridiculous bloody red shirt. I heard the cinema remark and how he wants to see Malaysian flags waved at their games. The truth is they used to be Welsh but they're not anymore.
