PaddyPower have got a deal up that if the Fly wins the Champion Hurdle then they will refund ALL losers in the race...!!! They did a few bets like this last year, and to be honest some of em were good deals, but what do we think to this one...??

Paddy Power have done this offer for the last 4 Festivals – namely opposing a ‘shortie’. And they have got it right on 3 occasions. The one time they got ‘stung’ by was with Mr Henderson’s Sprinter Sacre last term. Note they haven’t dared take on the forum’s favourite trainer again! Personally, I don’t think Hurricane Fly will oblige and therefore they could be 4/5 in just over 12 days time.
Your right Sir Barney, the Sprinter Sacre deal was one that they definitely got their fingers burnt, but they obviously know whats on the books and will not be suffering to much i would have thought... Im a big fan of Zarkandar, so im more in the camp of him than the Fly, but i also think that its no gimmie for the Fly to return to the winners enclosure come race day anyway...
Red, I’ve never really been a huge fan of Zarkander but must admit to being very, very impressed by him at Wincanton last time. Thought he looked very good when not totally 100%. I’m still committed to Grandouet though and really hope he is the one here. Incidentally, the Pipe’s still continue to enthral me re exactly what they are up to with this Flying Cross. It looks like he will make his NH debut in either this or the Supreme with them now saying that as the old boy is still an entire they want to ultimately turn him into a stallion (his dam won the Oaks so is certainly nicely bred)! Are they plotting a Cheltenham victory and then dispatching him to the breeding shed?!?
Oddschecker... - http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-ra...ng/cheltenham-festival/champion-hurdle/winner Just looking at these then some are a slight bit tighter and a few longer but not a lot of difference really Nass...
For info. On the All Things Cheltenham thread header there is a link to all the latest Cheltenham odds
So they are only joint best price on 1 of the runners in the market. That says a lot. Less gimmicks, better odds please Paddy
Good bet if you see The Fly as the main potential threat to your own choice. I have it between the Fly & Rock On Ruby. So to me it's a decent offer & i understand it's a shop offer as well. I read a brilliant post on another forum from a chap who does speed ratings and sectionals. The times that the Fly has lost, have been in fast run races. Not sure it will be that fast this year, as there's no Overturn in the pack, so the Fly poses a real danger.
I have always been a big fan of Zarkandar. However I do think that Hurricane Fly has been a class apart in this division this year hence why he is such a short price
