Not content with merely reporting that such a feature was to be installed, the felt they must get that totally irrelevant barb into the headline, to which nothing is alluded within the article to justify its inclusion there

Are they still banned from St. James park perchance?

I thought it was April 1st when i read this but it seems its true. They want to install slides at St James to ease congestion after the match. The guys up in the gods will be able to whizz down these slides instead of using the stairs!!! They must be feckin insane!! Imagine a bunch of drunk overweight lads flying down these?? It would be good to watch though

 

It's the thought of someone literally "whizzing" down the slide that concerns me. Not a good idea IMO, too much scope for abuse me thinks. Lol

In todays Gossip we see.

Football fans exiting Newcastle's St James' Park could be speeded on their way if plans to install slides outside the ground are approved. The company involved said the slides were intended "to inject some fun".

Anyone with other information

Wouldnt this be a danger to quite a lot of individuals

Surely no way health and safety will allow 50,000 ppl to go down slides after a match, you cant even have 2 ppl down a water slide for williamsons sake.

Still i like the idea. Just sort of WTF ashley
