Tan referred to the dissenting voices as "a bunch of mostly young kids" and argued a change was long overdue. "Have they achieved any success under this bluebirds brand?," he asked "So why do we hold onto something that hasn't achieved much success?" The Bluebirds Brand !! Oh my goodness. This is no longer Cardiff, it is a franchise. He will move it to somewhere else next. What a shame.
What a shambles.....Culture change......Colour change.......Name change...... Tan said about using the name Cardiff Dragons,"We will think about it when we know the final result of this season, then we will think what's the best way to brand it" The man says about the supporters, " If I find they are not welcoming and rude, then maybe I will find a new buyer and go off" . If that's not a sell-out and becoming a franchise what is, the fans will just have to give in to it, they are almost a Premier side after all...?
It was only a badge, only a colour, only a name. These type of franchises are the future and progressive allied to super modern stadiums like the one the top of the league brand play in. You green eyed bitter Wurzels are still stuck in caves and need to wise up ... She will be here in a minute.
Oh for **** sake what a complete joke of a club. Id be calling for there ****ing heads now. No way would I have a new board come in, Make us play in blue. Take away our badge have all there flags over the ground, Have a Chinese new year celebration at half time and then change us to Bristol dragons. ****ing ching chong aint got a clue We love you lansdown we do, We love you lansdown we do. We love you lansdown we do oooooooohhhhhhh lansdown we love you. Keith (what ever his last names) Alright too.
I commented on their board with general concern. I know we take the piss but i hope this is argued with not for the sake of Cardiff but football in general in this country. If Tan gets his wish how long will it be until we all start going down the path of the American Franchise. We can all laugh but we could be on the start of things where these changes happen. If they go up i want them to be remembered as Cardiff City FC that played in Blue was called the Bluebirds (some of that has already changed ) but history books going forward they will be known as Cardiff Dragons Soon we will get to the age when MK Dons will be known just as that, not Wimbledon who moved and could be in 20-30 just be a trivia question, to how they started. They are in a **** position because as far as I'm aware, if they were to form again they can-not become a club in the football league as they will have to stay in the Welsh FA. At the moment Tan has got them by the bollocks once they are in the Prem they will become an attractive buy for someone to help them out. As I said if this happens it could be the start of something neither of us want
The idea that he would move the club in the same way as Wimbledon were relocated to Milton Keynes is frightening for genuine Cardiff City fans. And should the unthinkable happen, then how long before it happens to others? By the way there is already in existence, a football club named Cardiff Dragons FC! Nothing to do with Mr Tan.
Their team sheet will start reading like a takeaway menu........... 'Cardiff Dragon No1.........................
Red scarves were a clear political move from leader Tan. Still tiny pockets of fans retaining the now dead Cardiff City bluebird and colours. Simple task to change that was give away thousands of freebies. His followers were lining up to take scarves four and five at a time we hear. Red and white scarves all over the stadium now featuring Cardiff, not Cardiff City but just Cardiff. Result Tan. Now thousands wear his colours, his badge and adding Dragon is next. Protest? No chance they are already on board with season tickets for next season. Job done.
Anyway guys.................. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/tan-sri-vincent-tan-no-name-change-686179.aspx I realise this must be such a disappointment for some of you posting on this thread, but better luck next time.
Jesus Christ sparkey the name change was just ANOTHER reason for many to laugh at you, We're not disappointed, You've sold out
We've heard these stories before over your badge and colours..... ' Cardiff owners ditch plans to change kit colour and badge after fans see red..' All these promises and they did it anyway.... 'I can categorically state that there were never any plans to rename the club,' he said. 'Cardiff City Football Club has a rich history, which we are honoured to celebrate and share locally, nationally and internationally.' ....and then they become the Red Dragons..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...diff-ditch-plans-change-kit-colour-badge.html
Bloke would not fib would he, loans into equity, no badge change, no colour change, you can see amusingly where its going butt, suck it all in. .
Still hurting Red Alert? You must be absolutely devastated coming back with so much more of the same old. Read it and weep. Keep the faith in your leader - he may pop in now and again from Guernsey to give you an encouraging pat on the back and confirm he's right behind you.
Old Sparkey you are such an iriot! Read what it says on your own website - i will reprint it here to help you "Tan Sri Vincent Tan has today moved to assure supporters that a possible name change to Cardiff City Football Club will not be happening." So you wont be Cardiff City FC at all. This guy is slime and you cannot (will not) accept what is happening. This morning he said he changed the colour to red as Liverpool and ManUre play in Red. Come on - now you are just a plastic imitation of them. The untapped Irish market is calling...Dublin Dragons ?? Watch this space.
