Lowe and Hamilton know each other very well and had a good relationship at Mclaren. I think it's a smart move. If Lewis beats Rosberg this year then he could potentially have more input in the 2014 car and have built to his driving style which Lowe knows very well.
I dont blame anyone for making moves that improve their finances, but history has many examples of failure when people have tried to buy sucess.
Nah, no way it's in that range of an 8 figure sum, only Newey has that amount. Reckon they just doubled his wage with bonus' for each place they get up the table in the WCC. Also if Rosberg gets pummelled by Lewis you can expect to see him get replaced with someone like Hulk.
So Brawn goes...im my oppinion thats the right decision! failure shouldnt be rewarded with a long term job...if only the banks of the world worked in the same way, you had a chance, failed now bye bye. We cant give him a free pass just because he has a very strong history in F1 with the likes of Schumacher can we?
They tried to make something special, it didn't work. So I think we are in a period where Brawn is actually on the way out. Maybe paperwork is making things lag.
yeah probably, red tape and all that, if i was lowe i would be secretly talking to Mercedes during the garden leave it seems daft 12 months really, 6 months would be understandable, maybe they should ban him from Mclaren HQ, let him do his 6 months then we can move on.....12 months is just too long
Funny enough Lowe was involved with spy-gate so maybe it is a good idea to watch him while he works I came across a story which was about another designer (forget who) but with regards to a teams front wing being identical right on the day this designer started with this new team. They knew it was impossible that team could copy it in that short time without that designer leaking stuff beforehand.
cheers buddy, bando messaged me, i remember a few of you guees from the BBC 606 forum! I'm started to go mad...i need some racing action!

"Having Tim in the position is fantastic. He is the guy who designed the 2012 car that won seven races last year so he knows what he's doing," Button said. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/105726
but it was jenson who struggled in the 2012 car.plus it became unreliable at the worst times for hamilton, costing him lots of points.
I think Jenson struggled more with understanding the tyres which lead him the wrong way when it came to set up which meant he had that disastrous spell from Spain to Britain. Once Jenson got a better grip of the tyres bar Abu Dhabi and Hungary he largely matched Lewis.
Was the banning of the flexi foor which screwed Jenson over, before that he was matching Lewis. Then when McLaren bought in the rotary wings he was back up there again with Lewis.
It happened with an entire car in 1978 I think! Arrows had taken designers from Shadow and effectively built the same car. They were forced to design a new car pat way through the season
