I noticed this on the Shearer thread:

Maybe I haven't been paying attention but is the first openly anti-HR commentary by an Rs supporter? Its very blunt Stamford but it does crystalize some doubts I've been having. Undoubtedly the new management team got things sorted defensively very early but there have been few signs that the same would be true up front. Yes they have very little to work with but doesn't that mean a 2nd striker should have been more of a priority in the window? Despite all the publicity we didn't seem to put up much of a fight for Crouch and Odemwingie did we? And tactically we are never going to score without getting players forward more quickly. Is 'Arry really Colin in disguise?

Arry is not defensive minded and tactically clueless
He does not believe our players are good enough to take the game to the opposition so we are sitting back and trying to catch teams on the break
The trouble is if he doesn't believe our players are good enough then they will start to believe that themselves when they are on the pitch

Right from the start of his career, at Bournemouth, HR's teams have always played attractive, attacking football and we will; give him time. He inherited a mess and priority number 1 was to stop leaking so many goals. He tried his best to get another forward in and it didn't happen.. so he's stuck with what he's got. In my opinion he is in no way responsible for our relegation. Judge him next season - if hr can offload a whole bunch in the Summer - we'll be fine. It is way too early and unfair to jump on HR's back in my opinion.

I make Stamford right, not, Spurs and West Ham were very defensive under HR, that post was probably one of the worst posts I have ever read.
Say anything to have a pop.

    This.

Harry and the squad should sit down and watch Oldham v Liverpool or any of the Bradford league cup wins over prem teams to see what an inferior team is capable of.

Yeh, I've been disappointed in him, honestly thought he'd keep us up.

When he first came here he found crap Players but unfortunately he brought in even more of them (excecpt for Townsend). The only convincing performance was against Fulham but all the other painful games were shocking most of the time. We should have kept Warnock who did a good Job and never really got the right Chance to proof he can build up a decent PL Team.

Harry has stopped much of the rot after the Hughes regime. Not perfect but for me, his test is now. 11 games... He's a hostage to fortune on striker injuries (and I agree with Aaaagh, he should have ensured another string to our bow), but if anyone can, he can motivate the players. If he gets the tactics right, there's still a chance. He did it with Portsmouth. A victory at St Mary's would come in pretty handy right now...

My honest view about Harold is i don't trust him, like him or believe him... I think he is a football dinosaur ... Both SB73 and myself gave our feelings earlier on last year

I will however wait until i let go until the season is finished because I am a QPR fan and thats what we do support

Oh of course .. MK Dons too. How could I forget that one? Silly me, my brain must be subconsciously trying to eradicate that awful memory.

Most of us do DT. Every game I go to ( every home game, a few away.) I fully support the team. You'll never hear me boo, leave early or sing to Rio Ferdinand that he's brother is ****. I always stay and clap the few players that bother to reciprocate after the game has finished. ( Very few if any of late. Even Mackie and Hill couldn't be arsed on Saturday. )
What's said on here in real truth, matters not a jot and will not affect the outcome of any football match.

Sorry Qpaaaaagh, didn't see your thread there. We're touching on the same subject, glad it's not just me. I'm really struggling with hope at the moment after it has looked like the towel has been thrown prior to many games lately. But as Goldie says, the answer lies in the next 11 games. Maybe even in the next three as I can't see us getting out of this without at least two wins in those three games. Draws are not working from here on in, if it's a stalemate with 15-20 mins to go we have to go all out to win from now on, no excuses.

    This.

Don't see why people get this from as Harry has openly come out and said the team aren't capable of playing anything else but defensively. Now he has Bobby back and Remy you'll see him try to play a little better, however we still have no distribution from the back, very little from the middle of the park.

For me we two options, either pushing everything through Adel which is way to risky and easy for opposition to counter or down the wings, which may be ok at, Townsend and Hoilett told to stay out wide. For me the only option is the wings but where do we put Adel then ?

Harry still has my vote, he has done the best he could with a bad lot imo.

Me too, Nines. I remember pushing through the turnstiles to that game, and the next thing I know I'm wandering down the Loftus Road back to my car...

While I'm in controversial mode I may as well risk airing my concerns about AT as well. Despite putting in some good individual performances (Saturday definitely NOT being among them) they have not delivered the results we so desperately need. And as we know, other players do no respond well to his brand of selfish individualism. We have little left to lose now so I do wonder if we would be better off starting without him.

This crossed my mind during the game on Saturday too. Personally I would leave him out against Soton.

Agree, at least away from home. Desperate times and all. Trying something new could help spark our revival. Let Hoilett and Townsend provide the ammo and prey that someone's in the box to finish. I'd also let Mackie take a breather, they have both been poor of late and based on form should be left out against the Saints.

It's what I've been slowly getting to... I don't see there a place for Adel in a 4-4-2 with this team, we either go -

    Bobby
    Hoilett -- Adel--- Remy

Which puts Remy out of position and potentially leaves Bobby by himself in the middle again with no support again or

    Bobby - Remy
    Townsend -- CM --CM ---Hoilett

Means Adel out, guess you could swap Adel with Bobby second half...

Sorry QPAAAAGH this is changing your thread slightly, which good one to explore.

my thoughts entirely QPAAAAGH if we are going to play 442 with bz & remy upfront we need wingers to stretch defensives & we should try that against saints & leave adel on bench as well as mackie because at present its not working.
