The way some of our players; Evans an Simpson in particular shoot from outside the box is pathetic, you just know its going to end up in row z when they shoot outside the box.
Simple answer to this is experience, there is more pressure on a young lad with not much first team experience to find the target with a free-kick than there is in getting a corner in which just has to go to specific area and not hit the goal. Most footy questions are simple, like Koren hasn't turned into a bad player, he's just getting on and needs a rest after playing out of position.
It doesn't matter at set pieces. OK it limits what you can do but it's certainly better than having somebody who can't beat the wall or if he does then it goes 20 fet too high or wide.
I agree with you. I was rubbish at football but I could manage a reasonable cross. I think it's because we know our limitations and as long as we get it near where we want it we are happy. Professionals are trying to put curve and stuff on their crosses and it's all too much for many of them. Just put it in the dangerous area and let the attackers do the rest.
Didn't he give it for taking it from the wrong place? But I think it might have been Elmo because it was in the second half, at our side of the stand.
Brady tries to hit the ball far too hard, losing all of his accuracy. I say every time, i'd rather he hit the target more often and stopped trying to batter the cover off the ball and break the net.
