Wow what a weekend i and my mates have had, it been fantastic and we are just getting ready to leave our digs to travel back to south wales all very happy and proud. we hope to catch a few pints in wind street and with a bit of luck should be there around 12:30 ish to 1am....well i predicted 4-0 and to be honest it was the most one sided game i have ever seen swans play. If we went up another gear towards the end it could have been 8 or 9 easily....the atmosphere was out of this world and i meen by the both sets of fans and a lot of respect was shown towards each other, even in the pubs yesterday we mixed together and there was some great banter going on.....cant wait to get home now as i have spent a fortune, my misses and my mates misses went to see a show and i wanted to go to the comedy club but they won the day.....A brilliant day and i know you can only beat whats in front of you but we did it in style and congratulations to Bradford for making it a special day.......well we are ready to start our journey back so i will see you all on line tomorrow sometime....signing off..
Pleased for everyone who was there, what a day! It was pretty special on US TV too...captured the atmosphere well and the emotion. Just hope my brother got me the program I asked for and took some pics!
Congats on your victory today, but as you say it was a total miss match from a neutrals perspective, shame it wasn't two prem sides going at it would have made it felt more earned?
Swansea played great and earned their win. While Swansea were always favourites, most pundits were predicting a close game and you only winning by one goal. Swansea didn't let the occasion get to them and they played their own game excellently. Bradford beat Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa over two legs, so they were worthy finalists.
I understand your point, chippy, but we did earn it by beating Liverpool at Anfield and Chelsea over two legs without conceding a goal to them. Bradford had proved worthy opposition by themselves dumping three Premier League teams out of the competition over four games. I think it was a question of style today. Very few teams play possession the way we do and Bradford wouldn't have had any experience of how to play against it. They had the weapon up front in Hansen to cause us problems but we didn't allow them to load it with any ammunition. Full marks to Bradford for what they did achieve and their fans were simply fabulous with their support.
Hear,Hear, Bradford didn't become finalists by a throw of the dice, they took out some formidable opposition, they had a good cup run, and they may be disappointed with the scoreline, but, credit where it's due, The fans of both sides were amazing!
Just back from the Football Factory pub New York City after watching the game. Met a couple of New Yorker born and bred mad Swansea Fans, shirts, player knowledge and all and 1 Korean lady who was a big Ki fan so Swansea fan. A good few Bradford fans there too and a really good atmosphere. Amazing display by Swansea and Ki as centre back? Never saw that coming but what a good job he did. Inspired selection by ML. Well done Nathan Dyer MOM Do you think he should have been given the penalty take? He certainly wanted it. Fantastic. My boss has given me the day off tomorrow to recover. Just as well I think.

Its that fizzy Manhattan beer I have posted elsewhere that I think it was the correct call to stick with De Guzman for the penalty
Fabulous day, if we had stepped up a gear we could have scored more but the team spent time trying to set up another goal for Nathan Dyer, like a training game. That is why he was subbed. Would have preferred another long serving player to have come on rather than Lamah though
Yeah i noticed that with Lamah, that guy impresses me though and maybe ML plans for him to be in our team longer than some of the long serving players who were in the Liverpool match. A late sub for vorm would not have been bad but then again he hasnt played a single cup match so that might have took away from Tremelle's achievement.
We beat the defending champions on their patch, and beat the european champions over two legs including a 2-0 victory at 'the home of the european champions' as ML put it, so I for one think it feels more than earned
Hint of lemons perhaps . The holy Trinity yesterday Performance . Result The Day , all 100%, if we(SCFC) were a book it would have to be on the fiction shelf because no one would believe it .
fk i have said it before i will say it again fk u shoulder fku workcover i should have been there, what a day it would have been and i would have been flying out last night, 2000 for a one night gig but fking worth it
Really enjoyed yesterday. Had a lot to drink last night. Great day, great night. But couldnt help feeling it was a bit of an anti climax. It was all to easy and that is no disrespect to Bradford. i think our final probably was against Chelsea. Just didnt feel the same as i did coming out after the Reading game. Not bad is it moaning after winning our first major trophy and playing so weel. Time for me to take a reality check.
