It was such a boring match. Becks came on for the last 20 minutes just as the snow was getting fierce. Joey played a decent game. Neither side could really break the deadlock in the middle of each other's defense. Both goals were silly, lucky goals. But I think Joey fits in well to their game. He was well behaved, surprisingly. Dull.
I watched this game on Bet365 live streaming - thought Marseille deserved something out of this game, Gignac missed a host of chances. I rather hoped our scouser Barton would pull one over that smarmy playboy git, although Beckham only played last 15 min with his trashy little spice girl watching him.
Likely true, I went a bit OTT, but he was one of ours, hence my sentiments watching this game - I always root for the ex-R's (and underdogs). Barton actually had a solid game, Gignac had as much luck scoring as our guys. A draw would have been a "fair" result, but as we well know from experience, life is not fair.
