True. Of course, scoring in a cup final will mean a lot to JDG too. Your penalty taker is your penalty taker, don't think I would have given it up either <laugh>

I kinda feel for the Bradford crowd. I wouldn't mind if they snatched a goal in the last minutes. They have shown great attitude.

Think Bradford have conducted themselves very well, and are a great credit to the game, I hope they push on in the league! ...<ok>

Solid speculation on the radio that Laudrup is going to start Ki alongside Ash and that worries me. Although a big lad, Ki is not a robust player and neither is he good in the air. He doesn't tackle well and he's got no pace. If he gets exposed to Hansen, I fear for us. Now I've said all that he'll probably be the MOM.

If this happens, I can't understand it. Do Bradford possess such a threat that we have to change a line up that has taken us into the top half of the Premier League? Perhaps ML is banking on keeping so much possession that Bradford's goal threat will be almost non existent and Ki can join in the attack.

NEWSFLASH: As I write, it has been confirmed. Ian Walsh is being interviewed and his comments mirror mine about possession. Unfortunately, he also agrees with my point about Ki's aerial ability and that we will struggle if Bradford get crosses into our box.

It seems that ML is going for a fast start and will aim to starve Bradford of the ball. It is a brave decision and one that I would never have made. But then I'm not Michael Laudrup. I hope to God that this gamble pays off.

Absolutely delighted that my fears were groundless and, fair play to Ki, the guys were so much on top he had little to do but what he did do he did with composure and skill. Well done to him for a good performance in a strange position and well done to Michael for making a great call.

At the risk of sounding repetitive. a huge well done to the team. There was never a moment's doubt where the Cup was heading and they hardly allowed Bradford a kick. Perhaps it was to be expected but then Wigan, Arsenal and Villa expected to win and didn't. We showed them how to do it.

Finally, commiserations to Bradford. I won't be false and say anything other than they were totally outclassed. But they have been truly fantastic in reaching the final and great to see their brilliant fans still cheering when all hope had gone. I really hope that they will go on to better things.

Brilliant professional performance today, I was worried before the match but once it started there was never any doubt - credit to Laudrup and the players, you have done us proud.
Centenery year - League Cup Winners, premiership safety again
Next year - European and Premiership football
It hasnt totally sunk in yet but we have very much arrived, this is the best time ever to be a Jack - just wish I was on Wind St now!

Hey, Dragon, I wasn't the only one!! A few posters on here had the same concern and Ian Walsh, in commentating terms, was also bricking it.

A wonderful performance, though, totally professional and in control throughout. Let's hope that Michael now sees at least a medium term future with us given that we have the exciting prospect of Europa football next season. I'm also all agog to see what players will be interested in joining us for the same reason.

Hey, just had a thought. Don't the LOW teams play in the same competition? Knowing our luck we'll draw TNS or Bangor and get knocked out by them!!
