So, Rickie finally reached that milestone today, and has scored many wonderful and memorable goals.

But what would your personal favourites be?

Far too many to choose from, his memorable winner against Millwall, his goal at Wembley and his long range effort away at MK Dons are highlights for me. Sure I'll think of far more though!

Absolutey stunning achievement, and here's to another 100 Rickie! <cheers>

The goal that I could watch over and over again is his thumping volley vs leeds

I probably went the most ballastic at the injury time equaliser vs Blackpool (can't immediately think of another injury time equaliser/winner he has scored at SMS, though no doubt there have been), so that one is up for me. Probably not number one thogh. That's tough.

100 goals in 160 appearances, not bad.

Unfortunately for our Rickie it comes as little more then a consolation goal. I read an interview in the Man City program (I think) with Rickie, saying that he hadn't thought about it much but that he hoped it would come in a victory so he could celebrate it. I don't think it means much for Rickie (right now) unless it helped us win some points. It does however make him only the 8th Southampton player to score 100 goals for the club! Well in Rickie.

    Brilliant,
Would be interested to see how many assists he has got in his time because it is sometimes over looked how much he does for team other than scoring

just think how many he could have got if we'd bought him when we first went down to the championship. we could have had 8 years of rickie and 200+ goals!

We could all debate various Saints legends and I've seen a few in my time.......Rickie Lambert is right up there with the best of them!!!

Well done Rickie on 100 goals in such a short time. A talisman and a credit to our football club.

Same here. What a beautiful contact he made with the ball. If Lonnigan had got his hands to it, he have been carried into the net. Stunning strike. Tadanari Lee's assist was pretty near perfect too.

Best goal was the long lob against MK Dons in our first season in L1, my personal favourites are the Man City goal and the Pompey one. Oh, and the Plymouth one. And the others.

Best Goal to me is the free kick against Luton in the FA Cup...at the time he was banging in free kicks every game! Up there too is the free kick against bompey when we beat them 3-1 at their place in the league 1 promo season - it sparked a mass exodus and the lovely chant of "Is there a fire drill?!".

Sir Rickie Lambert of Lambertshire I salute you. Thank you for 100 memories and I know there will be more.

My user name used to be for another famous no7, but it is slowly being for him!

    Cheers

    No7 :)

Absolutely, and as an old fart who's seen a few I don't say this lightly. I think it's the surprise element as much as anything. How many of thought we'd just bought a jobbing 3rd division player to get us out of the division? Alan Pardew deserves great credit for instilling something that had clearly been lacking. When Rickie's song kicked off it was a bit of a joke. No longer. That he stands in my personal hall of fame along side Channon, Paine, Davies, Les Tissier et al says it all. A giant of a player. He must never do a Titanic - he mustn't leave Southampton!

Dat one at home to Huddersfield in League One (think it was the sash year) where we had a throw in and straight from it he swivelled and lamped it into the bottom corner. Sweet volley.
