they portray this "whiter than white" image, but they're just as dirty and conniving as any team in europe.

greasy slimy bastards

and they have a racist player, who uefa is completly allowing to compete in the final just because he is a barca player.

I found the whole "Fabregas affair" slightly distasteful too.
They've gotten so used to bullying the other La-Liga teams along with Real, that they think they can do it abroad too.

Don't agree with this thread at all, the Barca team were terrible when they recently played Real and were overreacting to challenges, however they usually play great football and don't dive anymore than other teams.

I understand you lot are just trying to convince yourselves that they are evil at the moment to give you some more motivation for beating them but it's the football they play you need to worry about.

But with Barca it's not a cheat or two, the whole team dive/playact/feign injury. Seems to be one of their key training philosophies.

I wouldn't say the WHOLE team but a fair few some of course more than others . No worse though than what you see in many games in Europe tbh .
I think the thing with it being Barca though is that they are such a wonderful footballing side that it's a shame they feel the need to stoop to the level of cheating .

It seems to me that Barca play fine when the opponent is weak and can't interrupt their passing game. As long as they are getting uninterrupted possession and no one is pressing them they stay on their feet. But as soon as they come up against a side that has a specific strategy to disrupt their game, and that strategy starts working, they just resort to diving and cheating.

They did the same thing against Inter last year and got a player sent off by doing it as well. They almost seem a little like Arsenal in their inability to cope with a pressing game and an opponent that focuses on disrupting and containing them and has the players to do so. However, whereas Arsenal don't have a plan B to deal with teams that do that, Barca's plan B is to dive all the time.

Lets hope for United's sake that they have more luck playing a pressing game against a team that can't cope than they did when they tried it against Arsenal at the Emirates last time Arsenal and United met :)

A bit simplistic maybe but I see your point . It's a tough one if they do decide they need to do that if they find we're giving them problems .
What you need is a strong ref that puts a stop to it early, on that the we'll have to wait a see . Inter showed they can be beaten and I don't think their side are as good ours either .
I just hope we don't fall to their level if they do start their play acting and try and win it playing football .
