Ben Arfa is hopefully going to be playing today. Possibly tiote 2

I can see Ben Arfa having his best game in a while if he starts. He will have the support around you to do whatever he wants. Just what i want to see.

Lets have a win today with some magic :)

Can't see him starting, not with Pardew's reputation for not rushing Benny back. Gouf and Marv/Guti on the wings for us. Benny could come on if we're tying on the hour mark, but I think he'd rather save him for next week

If fit, I hope he is there but I fully understand Pards taking his time. Adding him in fully ready could make for a scary frontline. Anyone else think that he may spark Cisse by providing him a few tap ins?

I know but Southampton is a team he could really rip apart.

Sissoko, cabaye, tiote, HATEM BEN ARFA!

I demand this as our midfield today, regardless of injuries lol

this is another reason i want to see him start.

Sissoko isn't greedy but doesn't feed Cisse in the way he likes most, perfect through bals

Why? Shaw and Clyne are two of the best young full backs in the league. Ben Arfa is a quality player but he won't be fully fit and Shaw in particular is very difficult to beat.

He isnt quite that good <laugh> but if he wanted to he could murder 2 inexperienced full backs, as good as they may be Benny would give them a lesson

Must say I think they have two terrific full backs in Clyne and Shaw.

Not sure Benni will just jump back in at his best level. On top form though, it doesn't really matter how good the full back is at times, he is a genius.

Messi though? Settle down WJ <laugh>

Pardew will not start him and I actually think he'll still play Jonas ahead of Marv - we all know what the team sheet should be, however Pardew always likes to try and make himself look clever.

I'd start Jonas ahead of Marv. He is in better form now. Marv has looked lost in the last few appearances too.

Benni would be everyones choice (including Pards) but is he fit to start is the question.

Pardew has upped his game since the influx of new signings, seems to have lifted him too. Metalist, we were tactically first class in both games.

He is not as good as messi like no. Give him a few years. Hopefuly Man city wont Crap there pants and have to break his leg again :).

HATEM BEN ARFA is definitely out of Newcastle’s vital Premier League clash this afternoon against Southampton.
Manager Alan Pardew confirmed last night that the Frenchman, who had earmarked this game as his comeback, was still unavailable for selection.

Good news for us!

That's good! We don't need to risk him unnecessarily. We should have the tools to win it today. Only play Ben Arfa if he's 100% fit. Whenever we've tried to rush him back it leads to him being out for another 5-6 weeks.
