Is this a case of protesting too much? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21547215 Have I missed something, only I haven't seen any Cardiff fans getting worried about bottling it. Even the sensible rival fans are clearly only saying it as a combination of hope and being tongue in cheek, so why does he feel the need to reassure them there's no problem?
Don't see why it's odd, he's simply reassuring the fans as everyone knows the wobble-history of Cardiff; or do you think we are the only ones who see it? Give him a break, he is being straight and saying, it was a blip, be reassured!
Dave Jones said something very similar a couple of years ago when they missed out on automatic promotion and finished in the playoffs. He started playing down a negative air around the club which he'd seemingly just invented himself.
TWT. But this could be a big stick that MM gets battered with at some point. He shoud have said nowt - well at least for now. If Cardiff lose at Wolverhampton on sunday and we win to close the gap to just 2 points then it will be very interesting. Squeaky bum time down in Wales. This statement does indeed leave doubts in the Cardiff supporters minds. Very strange timeing indeed imo.
