    Vote Leeds! Vote Promised Land!

    Hi people.

I am just writing today to both encourage all the Leeds faithful to get behind one of their own, and at the same time recommend the great new book Promised Land by Anthony Clavane. It has recently won Football Book of the year. By doing this it has been nominated for Sports book of the year and I am encouraging all readers to Vote Leeds and Vote Promised Land on the link below. Promised Land is a story about the history of Leeds the club and the city from a personal point of view of the reader. It has had great reviews throughout the media world being compared to such classics as Fever Pitch. Anyone who even has a mere soft spot to Leeds would find it a great read! So I am calling all Leeds fans and all fans of football if you could please. Vote Leeds and Vote Promised Land.

Can't say I've read the Promised Land but it's definitely one I plan to have a look at, heard great things about it.

"Anthony Clavane has just won the Football Book of the Year award for ‘Promised Land’. The book is part memoir, part love letter to the Don Revie era at Leeds United and it has been a great inspiration for us as we have made great strides in raising the funds for the Don Revie Statue at Elland Road.

Promised Land has now been nominated for the prestigious ‘Sports Book of the Year’ award and I have already cast my vote for it. If you would like to vote for Promised Land the link is www.britishsportsbookawards.co.uk/vote."
