The penalty given to the Skunks was yet another absolute shocking decisision given in their favour...It makes you wonder whether some of the match officials maybe embroiled in this match fixing scandal..
Didn't see it but if if was soft then justice served for at least one goal that should of been last week.
Looked a touch soft given the minimal contact but the keeper didnt complain (well only at the defender) and like u said 2 offsides went against uz last week so swings and roundabouts. Im forced to watch most of ur games (as my lass and most of my mates r mags) and I thought it was a pretty even tie but uz probz did deserve to go through, Krul made some top saves tho.
Many Skunks were very quick to criticise the ref in the first tie, due to the fact that they got the first bad decisions given against them in living memory, so I was wondering if the same ones would admit that the penalty they got was a shocking decision...Just as I expected, this hasn't been the case..
Certainly did. The longer you are in it the better for us matey, as witnessed by Kruls injury? Youre nowhere near out of the relegation mix up yet by any standard and neither are we either, so full concentration required which we can give. Hopefully your participation continues (both you and I know you wont win it) to the bitterest of ends and the £6.50 you get as financial compensation from the poorest paying competition on on the planet fully makes up for the league form. Swansea will earn almost as much from their 8 or 9 games in the League Cup as you will from the Europa and without any of the hassles of extensive travel etc.
Personally i thought it was a pen, didnt touch the ball but caught Sissoko. Why the keeper made the challenge i'll never know as Sissoko was going no where. But as you say we criticised the officials in home leg as they got one obvious onside incorrect, so we will take this 'debatable' pen! Evens out as they say.
They probably deserved the win overall, but the worst thing about the two legs was how many duff decisions there were by the officials. This is a major tournament FFS! Yes, they probably evened out, but they shouldn't have happened in the first place at this level.
I would immediately class this as a troll thread if most of you weren't so ****ing ******ed. It was a penalty, but regardless of how soft it may or may not have been, we should have been 2-0 up in the first leg, meaning they could not sit back and break and would have had to come out of their comfort zone, therefore they'd be more open to attack. We should have had this tie won last week, but poor refereeing meant we walked away with a draw.
Only saw the incident once from a rubbish angle but it looked a stonewall pen to me, I think any safc fan pretending they don't care the mags are in europe is kidding themselves. I'd love our club to be getting the chance to play the likes of Inter, Athletico, Hannovers etc.
Tash, you're a juvenile sex-starved failjob, go get a life - or at least a life that doesn't involve you posting on our board.
Id say moronic was a touch harsh, and whether considered a penalty or not obv they are opinions (though granted ours may be masked by a smidge of bias as im sure urs are as well). From what I saw twas a good away performance and as the teams left in the comp arnt of a standard/status as id first assumed (spesh with Athletico/Napoli going out) Id say uz have a decent chance.
Roflmao. You and others can only respond to my comments calling me **** like "unemployed, virgin, no life chav" or whatever. Doesn't that just say it all about your intellectual capabilities?
The goalkeeper actually parried the ball away, and for some unknown reason the Skunk went down like a bag of ****e..
