-- PW Ponderings reports that several sources, including two promoters and a top independent talent, have confirmed to them that El Generico has signed with WWE. Generico has has been working in PWG, EVOLVE, CHIKARA and ROH recently.
No doubt if he signs they'll demask him give him a ****ey generic name and waterdown his moveset, then end up in a tag team with some ****e ****.
There has to be a middle ground for wrestlers. The wwe will either **** it up like you say or go with something else for him. I know why they insist on buying the gimmick but ffs he's got to have something to keep if it doesn't work out.
Having not been in to wrestling for a while (since Savage died) and watching the odd show here and there... El Generico is one guy I'd love to see make it in the big time!!! Delirious as well.
Losing the gimmick would be a stupid idea, he'd sell lots of merchandise and get over with fans purely for the 'Olé' thing. Hoping WWE will recognize this
Well he's been Photographed at NXT Events with the Mask and name still there so here's hoping he keeps it when he get on NXT TV.
It is great if he gets over. It is **** if he doesn't and gets released. I guess he has to back himself.
