    Eye up everyone,

Who else is felling gooooood this morning??? :emoticon-0103-cool:

We beat one of our bogey teams by a couple of goals, kept a clean sheet, during a midweek game, infront of over 25,000 fans.

I'm not sure which bit I loike best, apart from the result that is!!!

Patel and Haigh, listen to the fans, they are trying to tell you something. Lower all the prices....

Elland Road could be made into a fortress again with Saturday home gate receipts easily in excess of 30,000, and we could get our 12th man back.

I've got nothing against Michael Brown, but I do think its time he took up a coaches role (possibly with us). I was really pleased to see Tonge and Green play together again (at long long last). I do not think that Austin is good enough for a starting slot, and I severly have my doubts about Varney. He shows glimpses of brilliance but needs 3 or 4 shots at goal.

Morrison scored on his home debut, lets hope this keeps his confidence high and he keeps going bhere Becchio left off.

Not too sure whether it was a great performance by us, or a poor performance by Blackpool. Lets go for a bit of both.

Interesting to see that GFH have injected a seven figure sum into the transfer kitty, though I doubt what could be as little as 1m could actually do for our squad. We would need at least 4 times that amount to buy Becchio back should we want him...

Great result and a good performance last night, with the best side winning. The gloom gets lifted again and there will be those who think we can still make the play offs. I said yesterday we had started playing better but without results, and last night showed us a bit more. We've had too many false dawns, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can go on a run, because we'll need to if we are to make up lost ground.

Every season sees an outsider come up on the rails to get into the play offs, so why not us? Keeping level headed though because I'm sick of disappointments. Just do it please lads.

What do you reckon to Warnocks comments last night. "no other manager would have got a performance like that from this team" fook me he slags players off when they make a mistake, so blames them and not him, and when they put in a good shift he takes the credit off the players.

Warnock probably thinks he is being shroud by starting with Green and Tonge, whereas how many points have we dropped by not starting with them...

    Morning BTW

Morning all. Great result last night. Not the strongest opposition ever, but you can only beat what's in front of you. View of others commenting was that Varney is settling down okay to a wide role & providing some good touches. So doing okay. Not sure I like the idea of Ross playing out wide right. But 3 up front demonstrates a more attacking threat than may otherwidw have been the case recently.

On Brown, he can ans till does offer plenty of DM options. Also very useful to come off the bench & help protect a lead. His role may not be very glamourous, but its much needed. Remember that guy from Coventry. Boy did we miss him at the start of the following season. Keep Brown in the squad I say for as long as possible. Hopefully he'll also bring on a few of our yoof.

Good result all round last night, espcially a clean sheet. Back 4 coming along nicely. The 7 figure investment, not sure if that's in to the transfer pot, or just helping the club tick along. But it does bode well for the main TW in August.

Nice to get a 25k crowd for a midweek game. The basic maths suggests that GFH won't always be able to reduce prices, & maybe having the kids on half term hols helped. But reduced prices for midweek games maybe the way ahead, & certainly for next season after they've worked out new prices for ST holders.

Palace game coming along soon. Who from here's planning to go?

Morning all. Great result no matter how we got it. Some reports were giving Varney man of the match Elland, you thought different?
Reduced prices is a no brainer. Fill up Elland Road. Lots of other avenues to fill the gap in revenue. 30k every second week, extra merchandising, programs, beer etc sold.
As for the seven figure sum, basically irrelevant. Injected two weeks after transfer window closes to plug holes in our spending created by bates. Club running at a loss for next two years and will need many more of these cash injections. Of no benefit to the supporter or playing squad unfortunately. Would'nt it have been nice to have been able to spend that two weeks ago on the Birmingham winger that Warnock said was too expensive at 750k. Thank you bates for leaving this mess to clear up

I await the heartfelt and sincere congratulations from the Millwall contingent. I imagine they are wordsmithing their tributes right now.

It really is staggering we are in touch of the playoffs after all the disasters we've presided over this season.

Under normal circumstances we should be happy, because Warnock looks like he's achieved the 45-points safety target. So I guess we're about safe and can plan on being in this league again next season, unless we do manage to do what the team are supposed to be capable of

Credit where credit's due, it was a good performance and a good win. <ok>

But without wanting to piss in anyone's porridge, all it highlights is that we have a half decent team that can win games at home. What we don't have is a quality team with a great manager that can get results week in, week out, home and away. Warnock still needs to be booted out, not least for his ****e brand of football, and we still need at least 4 or 5 quality players added to have a realistic chnace of getting promoted.

Listen TOWIE... sorry LiE, be very careful in the home end at Palace. Palace fans aren't too bad. But Norward is a seriously rough area where they get a few nasties from other clubs who are playing away turning up & causing trouble.

I reckon 30 points from remaining 14 games would see us sneak into 6th, especially with the way boro's form has nosedived.
    So 9 wins and 3 draws - simples <whistle>

    <ok>

<laugh> thanks Boggers but I'm in the home end every season at Selhurst, as are loads of Leeds. We don't score there anyway so no chance of me standing up and giving myself away!

The only time I've celebrated a Leeds goal in the home end was about 4 years ago at Leyton Orient when we equalised with an own goal.
Prat behind me was shouting his mouth off all through the game, dirty Leeds and all that, and he'd pissed me off so much I couldn't help standing up with my arms aloft and turn round and laugh at him - he never said a word.
Mind you it was the 6th minute of added on time so I knew I wouldn't have to sit there for long :emoticon-0103-cool:

Varney missed a few clear cut opportunities that a preditor hitman would have put away (like a Beckford). He seems to get in good positions though cutting in from the wing. Must admit I am talking from hearing the commetry on the radio, so not as accurate as someone who actually went to the game !!!

    Curious hull fan...
Given you guys have a very slim chance of getting promoted this season and we're looking like we stand a good chance at the moment (long way to go of course), are there any Leeds fans that would be happy to see us in the prem next year given the lack of Yorkshire representation up there?

No doubt there are very few hull fans that would be happy should the reverse happen, but thought I'd ask.

Oh and I'd appreciate none of the humberside bollocks ;)
