http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11676/8512420? Sky sports are saying Man U are going to let him go out on Emergency loan and we are one of the teams interested in him.
My thoughts on Tunnicliffe are well documented. Bringing in a quality player like him who'll be fresh as a daisy is a no brainer if it's possible. He's very physical and I can't see anyone out muscling him in the middle if the park. It would mean there would be no need for all this Alex Bruce in midfield nonsense against the more physical teams. Get him in.
We don't need him, we have plenty of midfielders, attacking and defensive. Koren, Quinn, Meyler, Fathi, Evans, Cairney, Oli and even Bruce can play there. No need for another.
Yep. They've mentioned 7 clubs there. They are just pulling names out of hats. I'm amazed they haven't mentioned Pearson's rabble, what with their midfield showing they aren't good enough. We've got plenty of cover in that position, he's not needed.
Tunnicliffe is essentially a midfield enforcer, he's a beast of a player. We don't have anyone who can do what he does anywhere near as good. Just my opinion but this is the business end and players are starting to show signs of fatigue. One or two inspired emergency loan signings could make all the difference. In all honesty I doubt very much we'll get him in. My money is on Leicester.
I highly doubt that we're actually after him as we don't really need an extra player in the middle of the park. I think this is just Sky throwing our name into the ring due to our history of signing players on loan from United.
With Faye and McShane injured does anything think a extra centre half maybe needed? The three at the back has worked so well, it'd be a shame if had to go to a back 4 because of injury
Probably going to Peterborough to replace Boyd even tough they are not quite the same type of player.
Personally I'd say neither a central midfielder nor a central defender should be the priority. Gedo might be knocking them in for fun but Brucey said he thought he could be running on adrenalin and not be able to cope soon, couple that with Aluko unlikely to feature again, where could that leave us? Sure, Boyd's a decent player but we'd still be lacking anyone who's similar to either Aluko or Gedo.
This could be very likely imo. Dad helping out son. Plus Tunnicliffe has been there before. Faye and McShane are expected to be back for the Birmingham game and Fathi can play both defence and midfield so we are well covered there also. Other than Boyd, with Aluko now gone for the season I can see another PL striker in on loan before the ELW closes in late March. imo
Can't see Tunnicliffe coming here. SAF will want him going to somewhere like Peterboro, where he'll be automatic 1st team player. If he came to us he'd spend to much time on the bench.
He'd be a brilliant addition, but we've got loads of central midfield players, one of whom has only just arrived, so I think it's a non-starter.
