Avoid the iPhone 4 and that's coming from a massive apple fan. The reason I'm telling you this is because there are known signal problems on that device. They basically built the antenna into the bottom half of the phone and you won't get good reception on it. With the 4s and i5 they move the antenna to the top of the device so those phones are sweet

My review of the two phones is not very good I'm afraid.

I have a Samsung Galaxy III. I dont know the Galaxy II at all but the III is fantastic. Cant fault it apart from the battery life.

It is way more sophisticated than me, wouldn't be hard  Half the time I dont know how to use it.

I have never had an iphone so cant rate that.

Good luck with your choice QLR's.

To all experts is there a big difference between the iPhone 4 and 4s?

I have a 4S and its great at everything bar being used a phone. Poor reception, cuts off repeatedly and then fails to end a call for some reason. It also 'crashes' - a lot.

I'm moving to a Sumsung Galaxy Note thing - the big one, so I can actually read email

I have a galaxy note. It's great because I can now stream the football on it, which I couldn't do with an iPhone. Very handy when I'm at work or out and about. The large screen is great for browsing the Internet or pretty much anything else really.

Simple no choice at all iPhone4 is already considered the cream of design ... the recent upgrade drip feeds are just for the hungry masses and manufacturing improvements ... its getting to a stage that the iphone4 maybe considered the saturation point. Take the 4 then jump in two years time as only then will the next stage be ready and the rest are bound to catch up a bit by then

Not really Kent to be honest but the five has a lot more features but when you look at them all no real major things you get sharper pics movies

For me n/a and the iPhone 4 if you can still get one on a contract is by far a better deal no contest

At work I was given a Galaxy III mini last week as a replacement for my knackered Blackberry and I must say that it is a revelation - I have been living in the dark ages for so long!

Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is the only Apple product that we have not had in the house in the last couple of years and I think the iPad is fantastic after first being skeptical about it. However, it is nice to just NOT have an iPhone when everyone else around you seems to. The only downside is the reminder who is the company behind the Galaxy every time you switch it on - but I console myself with the fact that I have not paid for it and had no choice in the matter.

I am sure you will be fine with either of them to be honest, although I have heard negative things about the reception on the iPhone 4, so it might be worth checking out more on that negative aspect before you decide

Get an s3, once you get an iPhone its hard to , even if they bring out a phone that can't make calls.

Get a Samsung and you can move to HTC, Google nexus or some other brand and still keep all your apps and games.

Look at tech radar or any non apple site and they rate the s3 above the iPhone. For the record I don't own either and I'd get a nexus 4 and a far cheaper contract for a phone that can compete with either.

I have an iphone 5, it is great at everything, except being a phone. I've had it since they came out and I still miss my old Blackberry, it was reliable, worked as a marvellous phone and had real keys, although it was useless for Angry Birds.
