lads pleased with that also ROTO who mentioned this one last week in similar circumstances before racing was abandoned and I know he had at least a couple of bob on today.
GGW I think we've got to give you Barizan at 25s as well! Please tell me you had a insane e/w double on the pair! Phenomenal tipping.
He clearly retains plenty of his old ability and will be interesting if pitched in a festival handicap imho but I don't know the festival handicaps by heart. He'll be off 126-130 and wants 2miles to 2miles 4.
Guys that's very kind as I said I wasn't tipping him up just flagging him up for those, like myself, who find that sort of thing interesting but for the kind words. If I hadn't remembered backing him in the Triumph I'd have skipped over him all together. Wishing I'd thrown a few quid at him LOL.
Barizan was always one of my favourite horses after his triumph run as me and a friend both backed him and loved that he went flying off in front! He seemed to have lost his way completely after then with some lifeless hurdle runs the season after an then a failed attempt at chasing. I'd been following his comeback with interest with a view to backing him in a handicap at the festival but then he goes out and wins today and I didn't have a penny on him! Annoying
Yep good shout just looked 132 got in last year. I'm probably getting ahead of myself though, he may well have acted best of a small field on heavy ground. Looking further if he got to 132 I wouldn't have said he was overly well in based on previous handicap form anyway. Be interesting to see connections' next move. Odd that he went into 12/1 this morning and then back out to 33/1 just before the off before settling at 25s.
That was very odd with Posh Emily. Travelled extremely well but found nothing when asked (which is normally the complete opposite). Perhaps her stamina gave way in the ground but I still found it strange.
