Id like to think that now we have an acceptable squad of players and of correct quality. We should be able to identify weakness in our squad and first team that must be improved.

Id like you to vote for 2 players who you feel are not good enough to be in our current team, Not good enough for the squad or Newcastle.

    For me:

Sammy Ami. I saw this lad at quite a few times last season and he has the promise of his brother but unfortunatley the same curse of being no better than average and not clinical enough. I hope he proves me wrong but i think i am better than him, just not as fit.

Mike Williamson. I dont need to explain. this guy is off TOP championship quality.

    Gosling and Sammy.

Williamson isn't great but he's a good covering CB. There aren't many clubs with 4-5 quality defenders in each position.

We need to make sure we have good depth next season so Willo isn't playing as a first choice CB, but he can step up if needed in certain games.

I think he's given unfair stick too often. Apart from the cup game he's played well this season. He dealt with Fellaini and Pogbregnyak very well.

    Cut the grade? <laugh>

Nile Ranger, Williamson, Jonas, Gosling are all definitely players we could replace and instantly improve the squad. I think the others offer enough, or at the very least have some potential, to avoid being discarded at this stage.

    Ranger and Gosling for me.

Willo is a capable squad player and possibly better at CB than Perch.

I can see Simpson being moved on with Raylor our spare RB.

I'll agree he's made some defensive slip ups recently, but for the first half of the season he was our best and most consistent player.

And even though he has made some mistakes, he's hardly "not cut it", and for the defensive errors he's made, he's more than made up for that with what he's added to our attack.

He's always offering us a way forward and has been the only real wing threat we've had on the left handside.

I think anyone who'd single out Santon, saying he's not good enough is being quite unfair.

Surprised there could be other answers than Ranger and Gosling. Neither has shown anything positive.

The others have their faults but have their good points as well, even if it is only potential in some cases

Just playing devils advocate tash. If his name were David Simms and we'd signed him from a championship team for 200k people would be on his back as much as Willos.

Can't believe some people have said Cisse!!! Short memories on here, like.

...and Marveaux?! Has rapidly shown over the last few weeks, that if played centrally behind the striker, he's a fantastic creative player.

The polls need to be made so we can see who voted for what. I would imagine the majority of voted for cisse and Marv aren't Newcastle fans

At least it can't be the Mackems, or Ryan Taylor would have gained more votes <laugh>

I voted for Marveaux - don't think he is good enough personally. My reason for this is that he is (in my eyes) a luxury player and doesn't fit in with our team ethic. If we are playing three up top then apart from the main man (Cisse currently) then the other two (as shown by The Gouff and Benny) need to work hard. Marveaux is too expensive for a back up as well.

i put cisse in because this is solely based on performances this year.

No point in saying tav is **** when he has played 45 minutes

Williamsons has been consistantly making mistakes costing us points, Good cover? Sos a brick wall

Cisse was only put in to see if people think he is bad

personally i think he is still one of our best, better than ba, just needs to get his feet back

I agree with that - he doesn't work so well as one of the guys on the wing, and that's why he's worked best as the guy behind the striker - where he played when he had a little run in the team. There he doesn't have the pressure of protecting his full back, and can work his magic. I think he was our best player for a number of those games (Man U, Arsenal, Reading etc) though mainly helped out by the rest of the team being extremely poor.

Since we started playing on the ground, if you include the two goals that he should have had against Metalist, his record is around 1 in 2.

Marveaux has looked class whenever he's come on recently.
