Has left on loan to join the nPower Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Source: http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/robinson-completes-loan-switch Should be a good move for him. Games week-in, week-out will be beneficial to his development so it will be interesting to see how he gets on. Certainly a challenge with Wolves at the wrong end of the Championship.
Thought he would kick on this year as he looked brilliant when he first broke into the team,as did Flanagan but both seem to have regressed. Good luck to him at wolves, god knows he will need it.
Well, he'll certainly learn fast there! Which is not bad for a defender. Hopefully comes back improved or at worst becomes an asset to put it coldly.
Not the best club to join in my opinion, but it could spur him on to improve to the level he needs. Could either make or break him, but thats how it is at his age.
I think its a great club to join. He is playing for a man that knows what Liverpool is all about and will be getting games in a side that should see plenty of the ball due to their quality.
I think Robbo still has the time and ability to make it, he just needs game time. He'll toughen up a bit playing for Wolves in the championship and hopefully pick up some composure on the ball even with people rushing to muscle him off the ball. He's a far better prospect than Flannagan who just looks confused and scared all the itme, never mind being rash and prone to mistakes.
super for him. he does badly need it after 2 years of injuries. he's just raw and you can see it in decision making. he's really good going forward but needs to know the bes tball to play there too. All round i desperately want him to do well here. flanno was a shock frankly that he made the impact he did i nthe first team.. tough but i didn't see him ever being a first teamer. Not like wisdom or mclaughlin hwo you can tell have that extra something... i eman look at sama... never in a million years has he got what it takes but he's still useful
Saunders would be a good manager to work under for sure; but I would rather he went to a club not struggling for form and confidence. But its not the worst club to join, just feel could have been slightly better.
Happy for the lad and I do think he's a top prospect. He's strong in the challenge and classy on the ball, not forgetting that he's extremely quick.
Another member of our squad that is too good for the reserves league, but not at first team standard. Definately a good move for him. We could do with doing the same with half of our u21s players to create space for others to develop.
Robinson was thrown in at the deep end tonight! Started for Wolves at Barnsley and completed the full 90 minutes. Couldn't stop the rot for Wolves though as they lost 2-1. Took the lead but ended up losing. Dean Saunders still looking for his first win as Wolves manager and they now find themselves in the relegation zone.
Bit suprised he's gone to a team fighting relegation in the Championship - thought he'd more than hold his own in the Prem or if not then a top end Championship team. Altough saying that the gap between 1st and 22nd in Champ is 22 points, the same difference between 1st and 8th in the Premiership so there are probably about 12 teams fighting relegation in the Championship at the moment. Good to see him go and get some experience though, think he can easily step up and be a good understudy for Enrique next year.
Agree with this As long as he gets games, it will be a very good experience for the lad. Hopefully, it can help him mentally being involved in a relegation battle and toughen him up.
True but do Wolves play football from the back? If they just get it and kick it forward then he may get experience defending but will be wasted as he'll come back to us and have to re-learn the way we play. Think he could have easily done well at a lower Prem team where would have defended just as much as well but playing against better opposition
