Microbiologists are very geeky and are therefore prone to having bad eyesight corrected by big milk bottle bottom style specs. This, combined with a complete and utter lack of sporting activity while growing up, causes them to be clumsy and physically inept. Further, their exclusion from the social interaction and exuberance of 'normal' youth lends them toward depressive and self destructive behaviour. I think this more than adequately explains the OP. Next question.
I went out with a microbiologist once - most boring, narcississtic, fantsist, self obsessed bitch on the planet. I think she must have been Holt's sister.
Dr Ian Langford's death was ruled to be an accident. He was found in his home, half-stuffed under a chair and the walls of his living room were spattered with blood. It was concluded that he'd fallen over repeatedly and that no inquest was necessary. Natural causes.
I'm actually quite disappointed at the missed link here, to be honest. The deaths started on November 12th 2001. That's quite a short time after... 9/11.
