The fact you need me to explain it says it all actually. But a mate of mine had the same problem last season with the Portsmouth v. Southampton match. He has told me what to do. The first thing is to get there 3 hours before ko. 2nd I get my tickets automatically for away games in advance and so does my travelling party. If we have not had them by good friday then........ But like ive said, I may choose to stay at home as ive arranged that saturday with a 12.30pm ko in mind. But IF i go i drive.
I still dont like the idea of an important game without any support for the team, especially at this stage of the season and in the midst of a promotion challenge. How about a sit-in after the game with 1500 supporters refusing to leave the ground, surely the cameras will pick up on this.
Thanks for answering me without answering me. Guess you just have no idea (in fact I know you have no idea as there is no logical or legal argument to back up the "police can't enforce it human rights" crap). Wonderfully helpful blather you have spouted - which I hope everyone ignores. Let's get back to an educated and constructive look at how to protest. (ps, as for a sit in, or pitch invasion etc it just gives the police the ammo to say we are trouble causing... and will lead to a stand off and the potential for a fan to get arrested).
maybe a daft question, but how do they enforce the no travelling? im hoping away direct tickets sneak through the net and get posted out...then how would i be stopped going in car?
Each person can do what that like. Not my fault you need it spelling out for you. The best way to protest is not to go. By that i mean every Hull City fan should boycott the match and the club should back us up. The ticket allocation should be withheld by the club and Tiger Travel buses not booked. That would be the best protest. Even you Steve7 can see that. Its agreat debate but sadly this is happening in far too many matches and without any justification. Its not as if there were any problems when Udders came to the KC.
They cannot. But i fear that all tickets will only be issued on the buses. But what about all those fans who live outside of Hull ? Like our southern based fans ? Its a plan that has not been thought out as usual.
They don't. They enforce no travelling and getting into the ground. You can still go for a drive. And stand outside.
I wasn't going to the Hudds game anyway but I was going to be around for the Watford game on the first. I'll be driving back to Sussex when the game is being played now. It's my brother's birthday on April the 1st so instead of going to the game we'll just have to find a pub.....
Another classic. You still haven't explained why the police can't enforce their proposal. To suggest I can do what I like is just silly. I'll take the Queen with me then, and sit on the goal with a bottle of cognac. Keep these nuggets of advice coming. The police CAN enforce the action - you seem to be agreeing by suggesting the club boycotts the game. Why boycott if the police can't enforce their publically stated intention?
Send the tickets back and send Rory into the away stand big boom box any get a ultras mix blasting out with the maraccas to spice it up
You're an idiot aren't you? You can park where the hell you like, that isn't up for debate, otherwise I'd walk out my back door, down St Andrews road an into the away end. The police might have thought about that when they brought in these unnecessary measures. It won't be like normal where you buy a ticket and you get it there and then, you'll get given it once you're on the coach.
Gooch you know any cows fans that could get their mitts on a load of tickets in the home atands? Make our own away end
There's no rule about using mobile phones in the ground is there? So, what about City opening a stand up with a big screen and beer in the seat and buying Twenty tickets in the Huddersfield stand, so they have to have turnstile operators, stewards etc, and each person is linked by mobile phone to one at the KC. That way, we sing, they hear it. Oh, and here's the phones they're taking in. please log in to view this image
I did think about that actually because I'm definitely on their database, and I'm going to their game against Boro with my housemates so there's another 5 or 6 names in the database there. It doesn't leave many spare though because there were meant to be 6 of us going to the game!
Superintendent Ged McManus of West Yorkshire Police said: "The change in the kick off time for the Huddersfield Town v Hull City football match at the end of March is purely to allow Sky sports to broadcast the match live - it has not been requested by West Yorkshire Police. "However, in order to facilitate this change a number of conditions were necessary to ensure that the match can be safely policed. "We have asked for these restrictions to enable us to control the amount of fans attending the match and reduce the level of alcohol consumption, therefore decreasing any risk to the wider public in Huddersfield and reducing the cost of policing such a match for West Yorkshire residents. "I understand that these measures will not be to everyone's liking but they are a result of consultation between ourselves, both football clubs and the Football League." https://www.facebook.com/westyorkshirepolice
And that's not at all offensive you pompous twat. If you and your monkeys can't do the job you're well paid for, resign and get someone in that can. Saying they can't let people in because they're incompetent is surely not a justified argument?
The Club should decline the allocation and instead open the KC, put the match on the big screen and let the world know the strong feeling by having a bigger crowd at the stadium than at the match.
I think that you'll find that mirrored in the minds of us Watford fans too - moving the Monday afternoon fixture to Tuesday night means that very few Watford fans will be able to attend what is very likely to be one of THE major promotion battles. Very unfair on at least 1500 fans who will now be unable to attend. I sometimes wonder for whose benefit the game is actually played.
