I want it on record that if things go tits up its got bugger all to do with me. I'm too tired to argue with anyone
Vetch that was just tongue in cheek, don't worry, I'm not going to react to the Knackered one, just felt he needed to know I still love him! Besides Musty is on top of things.......... please log in to view this image
Friday Phil Friday, yesterday I must confess to going on the piss all day, hence the fact that I'm knackered today, pardon the pun Now go and welcome Mabon back on the thread I put up in his honour and behave yourself
Fair play to Laudrup, that's just class, the man is so down to earth, what a manager aye!..................
Heard a bit of chat bout Swansea being punished for fielding a weakened side. I honestly cannot fathom why he felt the need to field a weakened team, and I can see why your fans feel hard done by. That should be it though. Swansea named a 25 man squad for the league, the manager should be able to choose whoever he likes from that pool without fear of punishment.
Just back in ,I haven't read any previous posts but will do at just to get another perspective .What can I say that probably has already been said ,we were poor all over the pitch and except for a lorra luck it could have been far worse .Liverpool were as good as we were bad .It wasn't so much a weakened side but it was the amount of changes which i think was our downfall.Monk was the best of a bad lot ,the amount of times that they got in behind us was at times far too easy .a lack of communication and dare I say it commitment . Just to say regarding the amount of supporters being asked to leave early (a bit heavy handed stewarding in some cases) but in fairness we were warned .I'm afraid today was the result which Liverpool has been threatening to get for a while now .
****ing sick of this. Phil, your post was out of order and you know it. Any more and there will be warnings.
Think you'll find mine were football related, musty. Not so the other guy. Just saying. On the Laudrup front, his honesty was refreshing. None of this 'proud of the players' crap we used to get. Top man.
With all due respect to your comment st, ML named a 'squad of players' to the Premier League and FA that would represent the Swans this season and that squad was fully used at Anfield, and while the Swans had 7 days rest between games LFC had 3 games in 6 days(using squad players)including a round trip to Russia, surely ML should have taken that into consideration when he selected the team, but like any other team we can only try to beat what's in front of us, and if the Swans squad is weak the game at our place will highlight to ML exactly where it needs looking at. I'm sure even though your team lost you'll appreciate that the pundits were correct to be impressed with our attitude and play in the game, i fully expect the Swans to steamroller Bradford in the final and if they do it in style i'm sure you won't be to upset if the pundits pour praise on your team even though the opposition is below the standard of the Swans team at Anfield. Good luck for the final and the rest of the season.
Kopite Laudrup has apologised to our fans, he got it wrong, anyone could see today he made far too many changes, even Owen on MOTD2 commented after the game that you can't make all those changes when going to Anfield, shame as I would have like to have seen us give you a game, but it was all one way traffic, our make shift defence had a nightmare, and Garry Monk should never have played, simply not good enough at this level, and he was solely responsible for at least two of the goals, and was also responsible along with Bartley for another. Worst bit of defending I've seen in a long time from us. Even Leon Britton was off his game, but he has been out injured, and was not at his best. Anyway we move on!................ Oh one last thing, if you want a striker, you can have Shechter off us for free, thank goodness he's just on loan!....................
No thanks Phil. PS, Swansea's season starts in late July next year(Europa qualifying rounds)so its no wonder ML and Jenkins have targeted their potential new signings early. Good luck.
