two studio guests, one so Brentford bias i thought he was going to actually ask the FA to take action on David luiz on live TV, and an ex gooner !! The amount of times they showed luiz's shoulder barge you would of thought he had elbowed him in the jaw and broken it

My son was actually looking into switching to a foreign station during the game as he couldn't stand the bias comments any longer he said he'd rather listen to it in taiwonese than the crap they were spouting. How could they be so obvious and get away with it. If the 'poor young lad' couldn't cope then he shouldn't be out there playing the game, but to go on and say he knew him personally and he was a lovely lad was laughable. Its a football game not kindergarten.

It'll be worth watching the whole match on CTV tomorrow and see what sort of reaction our commentaters made! It looked just plain clumsy to me--nothing else--but Luiz , bless him is a bit like Miranda when it comes to falling over!

Both my son and I are Blue to the core, but we both said it was a nasty challenge and on another day would have been a red, (if Clattenburg was in charge.) He got a yellow though and that is the end of it, as the referee saw it and took, what he thought was appropriate action. Try and look at it as if it happened to one of our youngsters, we would not be pleased and be calling for protection from the officials, as for the commentating, well it's ITV what do you expect.

I think Townsend is a first magnitude cnut too. Constantly having a snidey little dig. Awful when you think of his history.

Terry did Bridge a favour by exposing his EX partner as a dirty tramp. He should have manned up and shook his hand, and not tried to play the innocent victim. So the answer to your question is. No, we are not being harsh on the sly gutless twat, that is Wayne Bridge.

ITV have always been anti-Chelsea. In the 2005 CL semi they claimed the ball had definitely crossed the line despite nobody at the time having any proof and later proof revealed it hadn't. They also came up with the infamous jibe at Chelsea fans "They (Liverpool fans) don't need flags and scarves, they bring their own" as Chelsea were beating Liverpool heavily in the CL.

That's before we've even mentioned the cheering of the Terry penalty miss at Moscow.

In the CL we've faced Arsenal, Liverpool and United in Europe and every time they've openly rooted for the other team.

It's not that they love an underdog because all they care about are their viewing figures and they've had their tongues up Man U's asses in every round they've featured on ITV.

Once the final whistle went I didn't even watch the analysis because I knew it would wind me up.

winning finals all the more sweet when we do it on ITV as you can tell a little bit of Townsend and Tylsley dies when we win and we win almost all the time in domestic cup finals.

Townsend was co-commentator for our match against Lyon, and you could tell that he was begging for Lyon to get back into the match so that he could slag us off, and tell the likes of Bale, Lennon, Walker and Holtby how they should play football. Is there any team that he doesn't pull his hood over, apart from United?

But it's not even his blatant bias that irks me so much about him; it's the utter inanity of his commentary. He comes from the "let's state the blindingly obvious" school of commentary, which involves merely describing to the viewer what he has already witnessed with his own eyes, but given absolutely zero analysis. He's almost as bad as Stan Collymore.

Makes me glad I was at the game rather than having the "ITV Experience". I was fuming at the tackle - unfortunately, it was far from clumsy, it was bad timed and he had no intention of playing the ball (even if he had got there a second earlier). What made me really angry, was that Ivanovic had got booked unnecessarily earlier in the match and Luiz could have been sent off when we were comfortable at 4:0. If you're going to "take one for the team", at least do it when it's necessary.

More worrying was the team's reation/understanding of Rafa's instructions. I was in the family section with my boy, really close to the dug-outs and you could see/hear Rafa shouting and giving instructions to the team. I noticed that when the players did bother looking over, they didn't seem to have a clue what he was going on about. It can't be a language barrier (Rafa does speak English and we've had a few different foreign managers over the years), but it appeared like there was a total mis-communication between the coaching staff & players.

I'm not sure whether Rafa is trying to over-complicate things, but there didn't look like there was any cohesion. I remember 1 particular instance where Brentford had a throw near the dug-outs (at half way line), when they were shooting towards their own fans, and Rafa was yelling across to Cole about where to stand for the throw-in. Cole and Terry were looking over, trying to work out what Rafa wanted, but there was nothing working between them. Benetiz was moving his hands faster than that twat John McCririck and two of our most experienced defenders didn't have a clue where he wanted them to be.

If they are confused when the opposition has a throw-in on the half-way line, what chance have we got on any other aspect of the game. Unfortunately, I normally only get to around 6-9 games a season, and this is the first one I've been to with Rafa in charge. Any season ticket holders / regulars noticed the same issues & confusion?

if rafa was trying to tell cole where he needed to be standing for a throw in it is no wonder they were confused !!
