Demba Ba got his name and number on that face mask?

Is it in case he loses it?

In between watching all the FA Cup games today, I've been digging out from yet another snowstorm.

Would have preferred to see Swansea get trounced 5-0 by Liverpool. You wonder with the League Cup Final next Sunday against League 2 Bradford City, why they felt the need to rest Michu, Williams, Rangel, Dyer, Routledge?

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup: "It was a nightmare, we got slaughtered out there. First half we were still in the game but to give away three goals like that in 10 minutes at the start of the second half was terrible, we have to say sorry to the fans."

On making changes ahead of the League Cup final: "Only in a couple of positions. I wanted to leave a few out but that's not an excuse, we could have lost 10-0. We are all to blame, starting with me and the players.

"Michu and Ashley Williams were left out ahead of the final but that's only a part of it, there were a lot of good players out there. In the last two and a half months we have made a lot of changes and we have been competitive.

"You can't play like that. We just have to go, it wasn't what we wanted in the build-up to the final but it's what we go so we have to get back on the horse."

They should have rested them last week, Liverpool are now above them and 10 points better goal difference

I watched the Swans game and think it just showed their lack of strength in depth.

I'm not comparing us and the Swans with my comment just the fact that they have not had injuries to key players really, where as we have gone a good part of the season without a strike force let alone a selected striker, and when we get one he gets injured.

Having a conversation the other day about where the Swans would be without Michu; 17 goals and 2 assists less, that would leave them on 21 goals scored. What a gem of a find he has been, shame one of our many signings couldn't emulate his record.
