Got two today against Bristol City as Cardiff won 2-1. That's 3 goals in his first 2 league appearance for them, chuffed for the lad! Makes you think maybe we should have given him a bit more time to show what he can do though?
Steed obviously wanted to go home which is fair enough Campbell and Meyer both playing in the fizzy pop league ie different class not premier players and before anyone starts I liked both lads.
i bet u a pound to a penny he scores against us next season when they are promoted. i still dont get mon getting rid of a him, were we really that desperate for 650 grand?. we are now left with two strikers so no matter what he alledgedly says in the press i cant see him playing the two of them up front from the start of games, hope im wrong cos im getting sick of watching fletcher, who i think has been a quality signing, struggle with the ****e service he often receives.
I said all along we should've given him a chance, I've no idea what Marty had against him. I reckon he and Fletch could've complimented each others game. Good luck to the lad!!
He defo struggled with the premier league and he was actually given a chance by MoN, at the end of last season, despite his brilliant comeback, he didn't do at all well. I'm really happy he has started so well and long may it continue! We'll see him next year and hopefully he has a better time of it in the premier league second time round
The lads only 25 he scored an equaliser against Boro in his comeback game then he scored a wonder goal against Norwich. After that I don't agree he was given much chance.
Meyler and Campbell both great lads who have both found their level. Steeds situation is the biggest mystery in football. Left up to in To France then 5 minutes later he's retired, only to turn up in playing in the champions league this week? Bizarre.
Campbell and Meyler found their level? That level could well be the premier league next year. And I have a feeling they wil do just fine.
Don't agree that they have found their level. Both will be good EPL players. Sometimes you need to drop down a level to be allowed to get into good habits like scoring goals and bossing midfield.
Totally agree, both lads are still young. I'm not sure why people's opinions of Fraiser have dropped. He was quality for us before his injuries. Marty never really gave him a chance!
Yep, point taken. They both had nearly two years out due to dreadful injuries, so it make sense for them to drop down a level and take it from there. Good luck to both of them.
Meyler improves with every game, he covers every blade of grass and gets into good goal scoring positions. Elmo is class, not seen someone makes so many good crosses consistently since Beckham was at Utd. They are both excellent championship players, we'll not know whether they can make the EPL level until they play there again, but their confidence is sky high and its showing Hull City Fan
Thing is that Neither of them looked that good for us at any point. Elmo was quick with no end product - crossing was woeful! Maybe they are Championship players as they couldn't cut it at PL level - although I'd have liked to have seen more of Meyler
