Recently caught up with a couple of slightly less than well-known zombie films. Pontypool is a very solid, understated and inteligent low budget piece that ditches the gore and instead delivers a three-act play on film. The Dead is more genre-centric. But as it's set in Africa there's enough of a difference in tone for it to be worth a look.

I am pretty into my films actually. Got a cineworld unlimited card for 15 quid a month. He anyone regularly goes cinema i would recommend. You go three times a month and you've probably brokeeven. Especially at end of the month and you're low on cash. Anyway, one of my favourite films is Synecdoche, New York. Its brilliant, bit of a weird film but worth a watch. Tele, i love The Wire, Curb your Enthusiasm, The Thick of It. But generally more into films.
Taken 2, i got it last weekend, haven't watched it yet, i watched road trip on sky movies last sunday, that's funny.
Some of my favourite films of all time... Star Wars - The Phantom Menace Rocky V Catwoman Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel Waterworld Sheer genius and quality in abundance I think you will all agree!!!
I love the Lord of the Rings, but admit I have somewhat of a nerdy side. If you've read the book it helps to understand it all but I sympathise with anyone who can't quite be arsed to read 1,000 pages of writing this small. As for television, anyone who hasn't seen the Big Bang Theory is missing out. I don't know the viewing figures here, but it gets 20 million a week in the U.S. Sticking with E4, How I Met Your Mother is brilliant, once you get into it, and New Girl (although it sounds strictly feminine) is absolute class!
I like the Stephen Moffat adaptation of Sherlock. Brought into modern day London and brilliantly acted by all. Family Guy and American Dad - both done my Sef MacFarlane are great. But the latest episodes of Family Guy have become rather poor and lazy. The problem is when you've managed to attract a loyal and big fan base many will stick to it even if many of the episodes are not as good. I would also say the first Godfather is brilliant - haven't seen the second or third yet - but I read the original book (the very original book, not the book of the film( before watching the film so I prefer the book and got irritated by the film. I'm not going to get away with mentioning any chick flicks or similar on these boards am I?
Hate musicals generally (having just been a good hubby and taken the wife to see Les Mis) but if they ever show Cabaret on the box make a point of watching totally brilliant movie.
It started good but was absolutely **** as the film progressed, nothing like the tale of a bandit living in a forest, you would of expected Ridley Scott to of done a better job.
Don't want to watch it I find the whole father and son fighting terrorists cheesy looks a bit comedic like. 1-3 were excellent classic films it really builds the McClane character bit of an anti hero always hungover 'have you go a spare cigarette or an aspirin' etc. I didn't think fourth one was necessary it got a lot of plaudits due to concept of using cyber terrorism but I found it overly far fetched (I know it's an action film) it didn't have the rawness though of crew of heavily armed terrorists taking over a building at a festive time of year or a cat and mouse chase through one of the busiest cities in the world.
That's what I was looking for a quick to the point summary Welly If that's true though you're going to be about as popular Country & Western music on here.
Shawshank Redemption is probably my favourite film ever. If you're in to horror films watch The Orphanage - it's a Spanish film with subtitles but you totally forget that after ten minutes. The film is absolutely ****ing terrifying but beautifully written with a wonderful storyline. You won't regret watching it.
Oldboy is quality, strange strange film but THAT fight scene is epic. Just one huge take along that corridor. Brilliantly shot.
