he did a job for us on wednesday night when he played on the left, but since the game finished, all i've heard is '' Rooney has failed in the big games this season'' or something like that, i disagree, he scored 2 goals for us in the Manchester derby 2 months ago, he also got us back in the game against Chelsea last season when he scored 2 penalties, he also got a goal against Brazil a couple of weeks ago, although it's a friendly, their a big team, i feel people are underrating Rooney in the big games.

I've just watched the Liverpool v United u21 game, the scousers had Sterling, Shelvey, Wisdom and Suso on the pitch and all of them were incredibly ****, Vaselli had Sterling in his pocket for almost the entire game. The stand out players of the game were Powell, Lingard and new boy Schlupp, United won 1-0 with a late goal by Fornasier.

I think we've all expected every contract he signs to be his last for about five years now. He'll be 40 in November. <yikes>

He does deserve it though, his form has picked up a lot after a rock start to the season.

That happens every season! He'll play poor for a few months then play great for a month or two, then go back to playing poor.

Really did think this year would be his last, with scholes coming out of retirement for this season, I presumed they would both retire for good at the end of this season. He's still determined to keep going though <laugh>

Giggs and Scholes both have good games if they dont have to play in a defensive role. In fact its a delight to watch Giggsy as a winger or an attacking midfielder.

he hasn't scored yet this season, I know we could be on for a points record but I don't know the record for different scorers for a team in a PL season, currently we have 19. shame as he wasn't that bad for the last few games

Kagawa is the one attacking player playing well atm. He might as well drag us through the final stages to win the title.

Not sure if i want Fletch to return or not, been a long time out and may never be the same player. Would rather remember him for the player we know.

Can't believe Sir Alex Ferguson didn't even mention Howard Webb.
