Some interesting early facts on the new lad. bit of insight into what kind of player we have.

Looks like we could have a cracking, strong box to box midfielder. covering ground and connecting defence to attack in some exciting counter football while Catts protects the back four. can't wait for him to find his feet with a fit Catts.

"Some have lamented N'Diaye's passing already and, already, his passing success rate in his own half of 83% pales in comparison to Cattermole's 93%. Giving the ball away in your own half is never good, so a more forward-thinking role for N'Diaye may be a better option."

Yes, it will provide our defence much more time to regroup in preperation for the oppositions attack if N'Daiye gives the ball away playing further forward as opposed to in our own half.

He may have 'potential' and be one for the future although I feel the next four games are far to important to field a player who is "finding his feet".

Our midfield minus N'Daiye is good enough to pick up the points (that we still need) in the next 4 games. I'd rather we stuck to a not so glamorous tried and tested method before we provide more time for N'Daiye to "find his feet" in what could potentially turn out to be a very important sequence of games.

Bring him on from the bench if things arn't going our way... Develop him during the summer...

Agreed in the most part, only disagreement would be he should start and remove him like on Saturday, didn't rate him on Sat at all tbh, thought carzola made him look mediocre

True, he didn't make his height advantage work though, and in top flight football he should imho

not agruing with that mate, and i'd be ****ing amazed if it dosen't happen again. what i'm saying is that it's taken longer for better players in better teams to adjust to the prem. to give the lad ****, and indeed to judge him now after a few games is just ****ing ridiculous!

I'm sure nobody intends to judge him so soon... but I do agree.

When he arrived in January a strong majority were singing his praises without having ever seen him play a game.. now people are saying he shouldn't play.

Now that it's clear he wasn't up to top Prem class, we need to give him time to develop. Time = games. He CAN be top class, but he needs to get used to the Prem and needs game time.

Cazorla is one of the best midfielders in the PL, to compare him (or suggest that it makes Alfie less of a player) is crazy talk. I could probably name on one hand the CMs who won't be shown up by Cazorla.

Do we have a tried and tested midfield? it's the one area where we've fell short all season.

Carzola is 5' 6" Alf is 6' 2" and must have been beaten in the air a dozen times. That is my criticism of last week's performance vs Carzola

I just hope he keeps a calm head when passing, and doesnt turn into a headless chicken. Though he seemed more composed on the ball vs Arsenal than his previous games.
