This is not something we should joke about Galante. I'm sending him a pm,he hasn't had the training. He doesn't know...
If you are serious about caravanning and want some nice sites I would suggest joining the Caravan Club or the Camping and Caravan Club. Between them there is probably 50 sites within a 25 mile radius of Hull.
I once camped in a similar one in France in error. I thought it was just the French being ignorant when they all kept staring at us. At least we never had to pay.
There is also a nice site on the South Bank at Burton on Stather. It's called Brookside I think. Only £1.50 to bring your car across the bridge now so easy access to the KC. Surprisingly for a small village there is another site on the outskirts but I've not stayed there so can't comment on it although it gets good reviews on UK Campsites
I don't think he'd get through the gates in any case. Shame really as these experiences are all part of the rich tapestry of life.
Thought someone told me that was closed last year cause I am in the same situation as the OP, albeit I need it for family members coming up, I will try to make time to have a look at that site this week sometime.
it will be the only way for me niw ; i have a degenerative back condition and although not to bad at the moment ive decided to pack away the tent and have the comfort of the caravan so we can enjoy it hopefully for many years. Thanks for the advice about the clubs ill start looking into them now.
Lake minster closed (i think) But Heron Lakes on the Beverley White Cross Road and Barmston Farm Woodmansey are open, but perhaps not for tourers. http://barmstonfarm.co.uk/ Heron Lakes
The campsite at Burton on Stather, Brookside was a good shout. I,ve stayed on there a few times in the past. There,s a boozer not too far away overlooking the river Trent.
i once arrived at a campsite in melrose that i'd camped at 20 years early as a kid. arrived without booking after a long long drive desperately trying to find a camp site at about 2 in the morning. all the toilet block doors were locked. they gave out keys to people staying there. the place had been taken over by the snobby twats of the c&c club. i hope they choke on their caviar, pretend campers the lot of them.
The sites I use are private owner run sites that have C Club or C & C Club Licence to operate, other than that has nothing to do with the clubs. The ones I have used have been very helpful.
