David October – left back and current U18 captain Mark Timlin – left midfielder John Leddy – central midfielder who’s played for Ireland at various levels to U18 Tom Winter – striker who’s from Ipswich and been at the academy since he was 8 Jack Marriott – striker (he’s been banging them in) With any luck they'll actually sign, unlike last year's single solitary U18 player deemed good enough!
Very promising signs Does anyone know what will happen when he EPPP starts, I read something about young players on scholarships are immune from being poached by Cat 1 clubs?
Wright - I believe they can be poached (provided the player lives within 90 mins of the training ground), and there is a fixed pricing structure in place.. A fixed tariff for transfers of players under 18 â The proposed tariff is: Years spent at academy Fixed fee per year aged 9â11 £3,000 aged 12â16 £12,500 - £40,000 depending on academy category This will replace the current system of an independent tribunal for compensation. Thus a player who spends 6 years at the club may give rise to a fee of £56,000 (£3,000 x 2 + £12,500 x 4). Further fixed fees are payable on the player making first team appearances in any senior competition: Appearances Premier League Championship League One League Two 10 £150,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 20 £150,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 30 £150,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 40 £150,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 50 £150,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 60 £150,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 70 £100,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 80 £100,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 90 £100,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000 100 £100,000 £25,000 £10,000 £5,000
Thanks stretchyboy So who could poach our players, just Norwich or do the london clubs fall into that territory? And I assume the "selling" club doesn't have a say in it, but the player would?
