Voted for Iwan because he used to bang in goals, take the hits at a time when we were struggling, before he helped pull us up into playoff contention. He also barged Muscat over the barrier of the family area once which was very funny.

If it were up to me though, in my lifetime would have to include Ekoku and Sutton in there because they were colossal both as individuals but mostly as our best strike partnership ever.

    Mark Robbins as well?

Odd survey not to include Chris Sutton whose 25 goals in 1992/3 went a long way to securing our third place finish and subsequent European football.

Product of the youth system and sold (like horsemeat) to Blackburn by the fat controller - after vehement denials that he would do so <grr>

This acidic look is not for being sold on, but for being omitted from this poll <ok>

It depends if we're interested in their time at Norwich, or their overall career?

On overall career (and limited to my lifetime!) Crouch and Dublin would probably have to be up there, because they've both played at a higher level than we were at, including internationally. Ashton is similar in this respect, although his injuries make it hard to tell just how good he could have been.

I'm waiting for Dave (or someone) to moan about the lack of options from more than 20 years ago! I'm sure someone'll put a convincing case forward for Terry Allcock (or someone).

It was in the ops lifetime so I assume that Sutton was before thir time.

It depends what criteria you look at. Most skillful would be either Bellamy, Eadie, Hucks
Best finisher (what a striker should be good at) would be Earnshaw.
Bellamy probably went on to have the best carreer? Followed by Crouch

And from even further back.... Ron Davies, Hugh Curran and Ken Foggo (a winger yes, but scored plenty - similar to Hucks)

Lol, the only strikers we have had in your life-time are Jackson, Morison, Holt and Becchio.

I am 19, so realistically can only comment on strikers 2000 onwards when I started going to see Norwich play.

First player I saw score was Chris Llewellyn. Who wasn't really that great.

Anyway, I think the best in my lifetime is between Huckerby, Holt and Ashton.

Huckerby because whenever he was on the ball, you knew he was going to pull something off and you would instantly stand up. Exciting player to watch and someone who remains a season ticket holder and caught that Norwich bug. Didn't he reject Liverpool to stay with us?

Holt, because he scored three goals against the scum.

Ashton technically I think is the best player, shame to see him retire early as he was a quality player. He had everything you could want in a forward and scored some absolute peaches.

Some of my earliest memories are of Ted McDougall swinging on the net after scoring down the Barclay end !
I really liked Ashley Ward to, great finisher !

Has to be Ashton for me, perhaps technically the best striker the club has ever had. If it weren't for injuries he'd have ended up scoring bucketloads for both club and country.

The best ? SuperMacDougall, My favourite ? Flecky <ok>

Mind you, Dad tells me that the best he's seen is Ron Davies and he was gutted when we sold him 'for a song' to Southampton.
