Right now Sterling is the better player, but then he should be has he has had more time in the starting XI. If Sterling was at United, he would have had nowhere near the same level of experience.

Similarly, from what I have seen of Powell, he would probably get into our starting XI in the absence of Sterling.

Hard to make a fair comparison. I think we are guilty ov over-rating Sterling, and some other youngsters. Great young players (Fowler, Owen, Giggs, Rooney) all made a much better impact than the bunch we have at the moment, but they are all exceptional (from a past thread some of you wont agree re Fowler, i dont care), I think Powell and Sterling both have great futures.

Matth, I honestly dont think Powell scoring in the league 2 playoff final makes a player good, I can find a few young uns who have scored in that fixture who are, in fact, absolute dog ****.

Not saying Powell is dog **** though before you accuse me.

This is clearly an error, I have never seen Matth knock a United player - youare either on the wind up or have him confused with another poster.

 

why am not surprised you are taking a 180degree different opinion than mine for a player who did nothing for UTD yet.. it is just premature to say he will be great based on his good form at league 2, he will be 19 next month .. why he is not starting? why he is not in the bench 95% of the time, unless we have injuries?
sure he has potential .. but it will be foolish to say he is better when he did nothing worth him to sit on the bench
