Maybe because there aren't many RL world cup teams? In all honesty, how many countries actually play RL, and is it big anywhere in the world?
angus young‏@angus_young61 More details on how the SMC subsidises #HullFC in tomorrow's #hulldailymail including astonishing ticket buy-up agreement & HDMsport‏@HDMsport In tomorrow's Mail - we reveal until now unknown agreements between the SMC and #HullFC covering big costs for the Super League club
Was just going to post this but you beat me to it. These revelations could be damaging to the council and Hull FC and show the Allams are right to make a stand when the SMC is making heavy losses. The Allams have every right to protect their business reputation, as being involved in a loss-making company can affect their standing in their other business too.
I can't see AP being at Hull FC much longer either. Especially if they start to make great losses due to having their cosy arrangements curtailed.
So the week started with Hull FC fans whingeing like **** and looks like by the end of the week it'll be City fans who have the right to complain. What a ****ing mess.
i dont understand local politics , which is why i asked , it had never interested me before now . . now im curious as to how get get these idiots out . i also never voted for him nor against him , mine was just a few simple questions not a complaint
Just when HCFC should be focussing on approaching the final third of the season, Assem Allam calls it on. To relieve pressure on SB and the team? or Spectacularly ill-timed spat?
Or to get public opinion on side for a move out of the KC to The Allam Stadium? Don't personally think it is any of the above and don't think it will make any difference to Hull City match performance.
I had a flick the thread RLFans and they're seriously deluded. Theres no proper debate its just ill-informed rants about being hard done too. I've got a feeling loads of stuff is going to come out and thats why Pearson has been quiet.
This will make absolutely no difference to the team on the pitch. As if they give a **** about a tinpot egg chasing team from near Newcastle playing in a mickey mouse league in possibly one of the worlds most pathetic sports. Why should it make any difference to them what so ever? Do you think their minds will be distracted mid game by their anger about Johnny Whiteley photos being took down?
I disagree with the way FC fans have behaved and I don't believe it is representative of them overall; so you have nothing to disagree with me there either. I agree some are green-eyed monsters, but not all. Again we don't disagree. I don't care about who is the premier team, it's a nonsense as they play in different disciplines; only folk with nothing better to do argue about such rubbish. You make a statement saying the majority of us have not heard of Johnny Whiteley, I wonder how you know that. I have always laughed at folk who abuse decent folk through the anonymity of these sites. Johnny Whiteley and Clive Sullivan were sporing greats and deserve some simple respect. Disagree by all means and continue to reduce your argument to zilch by the tripe you use to promote it.
How is it missing the point? A man that achieved a lot in a sport that interests few. In all honesty, like 95% of the population I had never heard of this Whitely bloke until this week, and I've only heard of Clive Sullivan because he's named after a local road. If Hull FC are so proud of these "famous names" they should put their hand in their pocket and pay the small fee. Hull City have readily paid the fee to display memorabilia of our "stars" who are respectively smaller fish in a much larger pond.
Yes, that was the World Cup won in Paris in front of 4,500. Which shows the importance of it. Of course 2 other captains have done the same, but only as Great Britain. Without players from the rugby union playing countries we have never managed with just English players. Of course the current World Champions are from a country with only 1 professional rugby league club which shows what a tinpot sport it is. There is only one country, Papua New Guinea, where it is the national sport. And, as someone who saw Clive Sullivan play for both Hull clubs, I recall the disgusting racial abuse he suffered from both sets of fans, something which somehow, as all negative things with RL in Hull, gets swept under the carpet.
