The signings in the last window were better than they have been in the previous four. We ain't going to buy all the players we need this summer, and we will do well to keep the good players we have. The tactics are pissing me right off. Why the **** do we show no desire to get something out of a game in the last ten mins. We were going to lose this one when the second went in, but an away goal would have made the a field leg much easier, we seemed to make little effort to get it.
Just so typical of us, looking pretty decent creating some decent oppurtunities ( especially the second) and then bang, 1 goal and we are done. So mentally weak it is unreal.
Last 15 or so yes, before that was pretty even. Too many chances wasted ( easy chances, legitimate) and massive gaps between Mid-Def.
Rodgers has proved he can adjust to win by playing a 442 hybrid with a Suarez and Sturridge partnership. Personally I think our problems are in the squad and the recruitment policy. We need experienced players who have been there and done that, especially in attack. We have plenty of young talent but we lack the maturity and stamina of more experienced players. and thanks for the M'Vila info!
Well, if you miss 4 clear cut chances, let them play lob-ball and don't learn from your mistakes then what do you expect? For me the biggest winner was the pitch. Neither side could rely on the ball and unless you were used to it the footing was very strange. OK who had a stinker? Suarez - hasn't been able to hit a barn door for the last 2 matches. Allen - to small, too slow, too clueless and far too few guts! Sterling - looked what he is - a little boy who isn't yet up to it. All he had to do with his full back was create a chip and run and he'd have had hi8m turning all of the time. Downing - still can't beat a man or pin a full back into his own last 3rd. On top of that Rodgers for not doing something about it until too late!
Agreed. I think that Hulk's shot got a deflection off Sketl's backside otherwise Pepe would have been close it it.
I thought Downing for one of our better players. Enrique and Johnson were good. Reina was good. Gerrard and Henderson pass to. That is all.
I really don't think we played bad at all, apart from a screamer and then bad defending, we played pretty well. Still think we can win at ours, would have been easier if we scored one in Russia, but we never do it the easy way.
It's going to be interesting at our place. I don't know if we are good enough to score 3 without reply but it will also be interesting to see how they cope on a pitch where we can zip the ball about and let it run.
Not Skrtyl jumpimg over the ball then/ As with England, Johnson made three/four vital interceptions coming across the box, but very rarely are they comentated upon. Enrique allowed the cross, skrtyl let him through him and Johnson was out of position - but it's Johnson's fault? Hmmm.
I couldn't face looking at the table after the West Brom game - just have and we're 9th. 9th in the League and losing in the Europa League to Zenit. Pitiful performance.
Ok we lost, some players had a stinker and the pitch was cut up. Suarez was isolated all too often. I think Hendo, Jonno and Suarez played well, uve still got to get into those positions and all 3 worked hard. For me, I think it's time to take Raheem back to under 18's. why we don't play suso more often I don't know.
