Ah the days of an injury crisis, facing Man Utd in the 3rd round of the cup, at Old Trafford, sheringham injured, practically everyone injured, Fenn & Allen, show no fear in what was an inevitable defeat. Fenn looked to be a class act, in his only impressive performance for us, what happened to him? rush of blood to the head and he played out of his skin and never to be seen again!
Looks like he went to Peterborough and then back to Ireland according to wiki boss. I googled Spurs squads from the past 30 years and it really is abundantly clear that for every great player we had we had a **** one to balance it out. Some of the players we had in the late 90's were non league quality at best. Really does show how far we have come recently. Maybe we should all be a bit more happy about where we are now and not get so upset about the lack of a new striker.
Crooks and Archibald. The raw physical power and speed of one, coupled with the more silky finishing of the other. "King and Woodgate - Although the pair didn't get too many games together due to injuries" On a similar note, thought Gough with Roberts in 1986 was going to be the missing link in Spurs defence for a title push. They only played a few games before Robbo went to Rangers.
A couple of recent ones that haven't been mentioned are Berbatov & Keane and Crouch & Defoe. Very different, but both pretty effective. Mabbutt & Judas. No mention of Diamond Lights?
I've got that record, and also the Spur's party album,i didn't buy them, got them free from the record company ,were i used to collect from.
