It must be very painful for Liverpool,Dragon, having been top dogs, justifiably, for so long, and now they are merely making up the numbers. Nothing sadder than people hanging on to past success, and unable to come to terms with their new status. They are still a great Club, however, and despite the few numpties who troll here, their supporters are second to none.
http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=303513.0 this is just a reminder that what ever the result is Sunday ,it's still just a game
I think we were talking about conceding goals from corners and free-kicks rather than headers in themselves.
If I get anal enough I'll check how they were scored but I'd say even those conceded were from open play rather than set pieces
There's a lot of jibber jabber there my friend So have you got a superior squad that going to do a lot better than ours, or is it not that good with players tiring after 70 minutes in games? We don't seem to be suffering any such fatigue at the moment. Who said anything about the season being over? You wished us luck in finishing above you, I said cheers as your good luck wishes seemed to have an immediate impact Aren't you the one who said you were going to batter us in the cup game too? I enjoyed that battering
All I know is that as long as we play our strongest team possible then it can go either way but if we decide to rest key players for the wembley game then we have next to no chance of getting anything let alone 3 points at anfield. Its going to be hard enough without playing a weakened side anyway, Anyone who watched the wba game will have seen the way liverpool battered wba in one of them games where nothing would go in the back of the net for them. Do we hope that will happen with us because the chances of that are next to zero...I want 3 points on sunday and you can bet Brendan will want them points and will be hoping we do field a weaken side to make it easier for them, I will be disappointed if we go there and hand him the 3 points without a fight on the plate...
Id love to win with a weakened side but what are the chances of that having watched them play some of the best football in the premiership recently. even against wba they were outstanding but had one of them days like we have had many times last season where we were mugged for the points. I am not concerned about the wembley game as it does not matter who plays we should as a premiership team beat a div2 side and if we dont then it dont say much about our squad players does it......3pts Is very important for both sides as no matter what fans say we are both still in with a shout of that elusive 4th place and a chance of mega money and performing on the big stage of European football that is the pinnacle of any club and its players achievements.....Put wembley on the back burner and concentrate on turning over liverpool and bagging the valuable 3 points.
Zenit St Petersburg are a very good side and have lost only once in 19 games in Europe and that was against ac millan, so they are no mugs on that score. Liverpool played well and had their chances but yet again failed to take them.....Joe Allen was again their weakest link and i cant see him being a regular playing like that. two late goals is not a disaster but they could have done with an away goal as its a tall order to win 3-0 at Anfield but not impossible....good game i enjoyed, bale just scored for spurs on the stroke of half time to make up for the sitter he missed 5 minutes earlier....
playoff final was awesome and if the atmosphere is as good as that and the result the same then there is going to be one hell of a party in Swansea where there will be some absentees from work on the Monday for sure.....
I got bloody laid off last week, so it is a bonus that I'm guaranteed the Monday off, and this coming Monday too after the Liverpool game
