City have negotiated a deal to have first option to sign Mohamed Gedo in the summer! http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-18143715-detail/story.html? Way to go!!!!
"Singing Gedo"...??? Looks like the Fail needs a new proof reader! Anyhow great move...hope Elmo signs on a permanent too...and Fathy!!!
Hang on - a week ago, not even that TWO DAYS AGO, the management were being slated for not addressing the striking situation with some posters not even recognising Gedo as being a striker: "why didnt we sign a striker on deadline day" etc. Now they're being praised for having first option on someone already at the club?? Football fans eh?
I think its very much a case of Gedo is now in the shop window for all to see. If he can perform week-in week-out like the 45 minutes against Derby, he will attract a huge amount of interest. Again this is good business by the Allams\Bruce.
The bad news is Al-Ahly's coach Hossam El Badry has agreed to let them move to Hull ONLY on loan ,he even refused to discuss the permanent option in the loan contract Mark my words, Unless its a huge offer that would make him shut up, Hossam El Badry would never let that happen !
When the loan deal was done El Badry himself said all over the Egyptian media that he told the Ahly's board he allowed them to move to hull because its only a loan deal and the league that has started in egypt isn't much important to him but definitely refused to discuss a permanent option.
Unfortunately for auld El Badry, he's only the coach. If the clubs owners decide to accept the offer, it really doesn't matter what the coach says, the players are off (providing terms can be agreed)
That's not true. The priority was to sign a striker in the JTW and then SB also sent Mclean out on loan meaning we were two strikers short. The signing of Gedo leaves us with only three specialist strikers at the club so we did need a fourth on deadline day and we still do. The only way to look at it is; what are our options if Gedo gets injured? We need another striker who knows where the net is.
just now on tv Al Ahly Marketing director Magdy Tolba said no fee agreed yet for a permanent move for Gedo or Fathi he said it depends on how good the offer is but it is too early to discuss a deal yet and no one from Hull city contacted them yet also he said Hull city still didn't transfer the loan fee (500 k £)
He must be good then, sounds a bit like a Man City supporter hoping a loan deal for RVP turns into a permanent!
And as a result all of the pictures of Dr Assem Allam have been removed from the Allam Marine Suite at the Cairo International Stadium.
@bbcburnsy Steve Bruce says no deal in place yet for Gedo and Fahti on permanent basis. Gedo will start Saturday. Alex Bruce is fit. #hcafc
