I think Bale doesn't deserve it because whilst he may be one of the top in terms of form, his ability over long periods of time is yet to be proved
no-one's mentioned Kompany? attack wins games, defence wins championships and he is simply untouchable as a leader and as a centre-back. which is why i voted for RVP
Gareth Bale misses an open goal from 6 yards to show he's human and then scores a free kick from 35 yards! Normal service resumed.
Almost me, he is so unconventional it's brilliant, Everton are good but I would love to watch him in a really top team where he was more free to do his thing.
I voted for Fellani; it was between him and RVP and I wanted to be unique, plus Fellani's the complete player and was amazing against us in both games.
We all know these discussions are fun and silly in equal measure. You can't rank great players, only list them, and debate who should be on the list. That said, whenever I am asked this sort of question I always think in terms of which player has had the greatest competitive impact ... for me, it's RVP, as he seems to have been the difference for Man U this season. Bale is also amazing though as is Suarez.
none of these are the best players, they are strikers and that's their job, the best players are the non strikers who score from midfield or defense because without the skill of these players and precise passing the strikers would not score that many....there is nobody better than our little Leon Britton who is the catalysis to many of our goals with his vision and intelligent passing....strikers get all the glory but they have the easiest task...
Are you sure? Defenders Vidic Kompany Midfielders Bale Silva Toure Mata Hazard Cazorla Fellaini Wilshere Forwards RVP Suarez Rooney Aguero
I don't know why people say... at the moment, for Bale. He was brilliant last season, he was excellent, if mercurial before that. Is it because he's British that were only allowed to say at the moment..? I notice pundits, all over media say about Bale... at the moment..! Is he suddenly going to become rubbish in a couple of weeks or something..? He's going to pull that Tottenham side into the Champions League this season because he's easily the best player in the UK. Not just for the moment, either.
I watched Leon Brittain about 9 years ago in a cup game while I was in Swansea working. It was a Monday or Tuesday night against Wycombe (maybe) and I thought then he was ahead of his time. As for strikers doing the easy bit, you were either a defender or more likely the last kid to be picked on the playground team, that neither side wanted.
Last time I looked, Bale was an attacking midfielder/winger. People are as confused about him as they were, when calling Matt Le Tissier a striker or forward, when he was also an attacking midfielder. They both scored/score goals because they were/are extraordinary players.
Bale is winning... RVP is the only striker who has got a decent amount of votes, then the next is Suarez with 4. Midfielders clearly get the most attention.
No Bale has been chosen the most. And Toure the third most. So I think it's you who nees to have a look at who fans have chosen the most.
