i have a dislike for wigan. never got over them doing us out of promotion some years back. also from a personal standpoint i fu;;ing hate changing windscreens on tvr"s.
Without wishing to derail the thread, wouldn't a hatred of changing TVR windscreens be more likely to result in a dislike of Blackpool rather than Wigan?
Manure "Fans" living in Surrey who have never been north of Watford let alone to Old Trafford in their lives! Coming into work every Monday morning and giving it the biggun! "Oh I've supported Utd since the days of Dennis Law, Best, Charlton..." They say! Plastic ****ers to a man!
I expect we'll win as many as you in the future. Just currently enjoying our time in the sun, I'm sure yours will come around again at some stage although the way the PL is being financed you'll need to get on the gravy train soon or you may get stuck as one of the have nots until Sky get bored and start sponsoring netball
My son has been a United fan since he was old enough to kick a ball, we have been to watch them at Old Trafford ten times.....but not for a couple of years...I am slowly but surely converting him...we are off to Huddersfield on the 23rd............... You can kind of understand though why the youngsters go for the bigger, more succesful clubs....Huddersfield away...! He also always plays FIFA as ITFC....!
Liverpool - mixture of the glory hunting aspect, the people I met who supported them and my big team of choice as a glory hunting kid being MU. Hatred has lessened in recent years though.
It used to be Alex Ferguson, but you can't help but like the guy now..... You know for a fact he's laughing his head off and a lot of it is media spin. He's so damn clever. My hate list....! 1- Arsene Wenger. " I didn't see it " springs to mind. The fact he makes up excuse after excuse. His failure to sign the patently obvious holes his side have been badly missing for 7 years. He doesn't shake hands with others at times. Hypocrite. General PRICK! 2- David Nugent. LOVES celebrating and being a nonce infront of everyone at Portman Road. 3- Michael Chopra. That's right, I NOW HATE one player we have on our books. What's more, he frustrates me. Fast becoming an absolute waste. 4- Nigel De Jong and Mark Van Bommel in a Holland shirt = self explanatory! 5- Patrice Evra. And look what he's now nobbing!!!!!!!!!!!! absolute C***!!!!!! I will have missed loads out, but that is my " off the top of my head " list.
I hate so-called English' teams that put out sides composed 99% of foreign players, and whose fans then moan about the lack of depth in the England squad. Clubs being bought by holding companies/businessmen who don't give a monkeys about the team itself. Sky TV and what they have done to the game I love. Shirt sponsorship. Bryan Talbot - never could forgive him for going to Arsenal in 78/79(!) Arsenal - their fans in particular and the incredible chip on their collective shoulder - remember all the crap they were giving us before the Fizzy Pop cup match? Lord Voldemort...sorry, Roy Keane as he's known in this world. Ripped the heart and soul out of Ipswich Town and the ripples still spread now. Mumford & Sons, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Darkness... But not Norwich City. I know they're our local rivals (sorry Colchester, but you just ain't - end of) but what makes the banter so special is that they are just like us, really. A small club in the sticks that on occasions overachieves gloriously before crashing and burning, with generally quite nice fans and none of the attitude of, say, Manchester City. Although I used to like them because they *didn't* have the attitude of their neighbours. Oh well, plus ca change. Oh yeah: fans who don't know what their team is called. "I support Man U!" No you ****in' don't. You support Manchester United.
Can i just put on record that i hate Norwich, I just PITY them! I pity them because they will never win a major trophy I pity them because they will never be able to say they are the best club in the land I pity them because they have Who-tun! And more importantly, I pity them because whenever somebody talks about East Anglian football they will always know that despite league positions, they will never surpass ITFC as the most successful East Anglian ever!
Yaxley Cherry Tree "Warm beer, Awful Food, Grumpy Landlord" Haven't been for a while, used to go every now and again after school (6th form).... Was more of a Wortham Dolphin kind of guy.. though obviously not through my own choice
Leeds. For the same reason the rest of the world hates them. Them and the Mackems. Oh, and Chievo Verona. Thanks to Tim Parks' book 'A Season With Verona'.
