Well personally I never heard of that Egyptian Businessman until he visited Al Ahly few months ago to arrange a game between us. Elmo is a good player and did a lot for our national team winning 2 African cup of nations with Egypt and he is only 25. but he came from a small club in Egypt actually it is an oil company that has got a team in the Egyptian league. a team that barely have any fans. that is why you didn't see anyone spamming your FB site when you signed him lol. but signing a player or two from Al Ahly is a different case. Check the team honours and you will be amazed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Ahly_SC

Should be and will be are two very different things. I'd never wish a long term injury on a player but fair's fair, we've had at least two months without Aluko so we're owed, karma-wise, at least that long with Wood, which would do nicely for me!
Based on the tweets I've seen, I don't think Wood will be back for the Charlton game, possibly the following game against Blackpool though.
Al Ahly have over 2 million fans on facebook, kind of puts our measley 13k (prior to the Egyptian invasion) to shame!
To be fair I think Al Ahly and Zamalek are the only 'big' clubs and Cairo is a hell of a lot bigger than London...
I've never heard of most of those other clubs in Cairo, but they still all have 20-30,000 capacity stadiums.
I know we've taken plenty of Man Utd's young players, and mostly with great success, however taking Gedo from Al Ahly is kind of like borrowing Wayne Rooney for six months to try to get us back into the Premier League, what a ****ing fantastic move from Pappa! He, Pappa, in my opinion, is rapidly becoming a Hull City legend, he's brought us a superb manager, three current Egyptian internationals, spent a fortune on saving the club, and has then spent another one on bringing quality players to the KC, and last but by nooooo means least, he's ****ing over Geraughty and his cronies!
I f-well hope our business manager/merchandising director have wised up to the potential. It could be HUGE!
Injuries do play a big part as we do know already. Regardless of how long Wood is out for its now all in Hull Citys hands again. But yes the longer that Wood is out for the better.
Anyone else think its funny how when there was a discussion on "real fans", if you had the bare faced cheek to move away from Hull you were despised/looked down upon and considered less of a real fan? Or if unable to get to every single game, you were less of a fan? I imagine our Goole based friends must be thrilled at these foreigners coming over here taking our home grown footballers jobs too, not to mention the inbreds at CI turning purple at all these new "fans". Yeah. Funny **** that and long may it continue.
It's definitely NOT in City's own hands, not as long as Lester maintain their superior GD, it's actually Lester's to lose, if they win their two games in hand it matters not what we do, they will regain second place, unless we win our two games in hand 9-0
