Real outclass United on paper with ease but Real hate their manager and don't have the team ethos of United. anything can happen on the day
football is not only about having the best skillful players but players who play with purpose , play for the team .. attack as a Unit and defend as a Unit Real struggled facing bottom table clubs this season.. and tbh they struggled even prior to signing Jose .. so Jose is not the problem.. their problem is there are too much skillful players but little who play as a team, then you have the problem of many big egos too City or chelsea may have the best players on paper compared to UTD over the years, but UTD always do better than expected despite many injury crises over the years, because Sir Always pick the right players and right balance agree individually, Real players are better on paper , but we have the team spirit playing for the team and defending and attacking as a unit.. the same spirit that led to Chelsea or inter to beating Barca and go all the way to win CL last season
I agree with that shwan up until the last line Chelsea put their head between their knees in the crash position and prayed for a quick death. They woke up in a field in the wreckage of a crash still alive by a miracle. picked up the trophy meant for someone else that was lying on the ground and walked off default champions. not all wins are deserved.
ooooonnnnnnnllllllllyyyyyyy jjjjjjjjoooooooookkkkkkkkkiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggggggg.................... i pissed the bed
hmm .. tbh many make jokes on chelsea and call them lucky winner after winning the CL imo they fought for it and work hard and they earn it but again many do shares your opinion and say they didn't deserved it too
chill out .. it is just a game hhh .. i will not mind if Real win as long as we give it our best and give 100% but failed ..
So am I Matth, so am I. Come down with a nasty cough and ache and headache which my just ruin my viewing. To drink booze or not to drink booze? Daft question really, it's just a question of which booze but I think there's a thread for that.
Where's the booze thread ? If this isn't one then there should be. I'm part looking forward to and part dreading tonight Edit : found it on the dinner & tea thread.
Yeah, they did. Considering who they beat on the way to the final and then how they won the final how the **** could you possibly suggest they didn't fully deserve to win it? Wierd. By the way, I've always said Chelsea deserved to win it too, anyone who says otherwise is an imbecile. If you win it, you've deserved it.
I think we did have a booze thread but it got swamped and washed away by Matth's return. It can go with the food one. Or do we need a "What the **** am I going to pickle my liver with tonight?" thread?
This. They may have both been poor teams, and very lucky at times, but if you win the trophy you deserve the trophy. A team may fluke one or two games, but that doesn't alter the fact that they have to win the others. Ironically, perhaps the only team you can argue didn't deserve to win it was Barca in 2009, after the semi final. And even then the result was only partly due to the ref, and partly due to Barca never giving up and waiting for Chelsea to sabotage themselves.
I'm really looking forward to this. I cant see United not scoring, but I fancy Madrid to win but probably only by 1 goal. Madrid to win on the night, United to go through to the Q\F.
I'm hoping for a 1-1 draw, but I'm dreaming of a 2-1 win... I just hope there are no red cards or dodgy penalties. Goals by Ronaldo, RVP... And a late winner by Hernandez please!
yepp, they showed big determination to come back, meanwhile i heard that Milan players were already celebrating in the changing room in mid-time and that complacency imo opened a big door for Liverpool for that come back I think there was some complacency too from the Barca side, once 2-0 up and Chelsea going down to 10 men. many thoughts the game is over .. but credit to Chelsea and Liverpool once they see that door opened up , they capitalized on it and punish them hard , and deservedly win it
