Wonder goal maybe a bit of an overstatement. Wasn't at the game and was expecting to see a in off the crossbar bicycle kick
My eyesight might not be what is used to be, but was that not an entirely under 11's relay race followed up by a fully grown man taking the shot?!
Happens every match, has done for a while, the two adults at the end (though I believe this week they were both teenagers) are selected as competitors from Twitter or something, and the other kids in the relay are just supporters. Don't know how they're selected (I'd assume Junior Saints) but yeah.
It is quite comical to watch at times....some of those lads though are bloody quick they might be young but heck some can move. All I can say is anyone who says it wasn't a wonder goal, has not played football and tried to kick the ball from near the halfway line at goal. Average people probably would not even reach the goal...let alone put it between the sticks. It may indeed have been a lucky strike...but you make your own luck and the lad scored, good luck to him.
Sorry but he is nearly fully grown, shooting on a brilliant pitch with a premier league quality football. 40 yards isnt that much of an achievement...good goal definatly but wondergoal...
Compared to some of the fat adults they have, shanking the shot towards the corner flag from 6 yards, that was a wonder strike.
I just hope someone has sent this to Sept Blatter. There was serious spending money at the megastore at stake. You just can't leave stuff this important to the officials, who got it wrong again. Blatter out!
Typical this was the first relay race i decided to attempt to go to the bog for. Turns out I missed a pretty good one... Serves me right
