The negativity of some supporters is a disgrace. Seems like the pressure of the 'business end of the season' is getting to some fans. You can see some players confidence crumble as the fans get on their backs if we don't score in the first 20 mins. Get behind the team FFS.
Don't know where you sit but I didn't notice anyone having a go at the players, yes there are collective sighs and groans when passes go astray but that's human nature.
Ditto. Round me it was increasing volume and anger against the window-licking ref- which always gets the fans going.
to be fair the performance in the first half was shocking. It wasn't that we weren't scoring it was that we weren't even stringing two passes together.
I thought the ref didn't have a bad game at all, but i didn't see the red card properly. It gets to me when people say get it forward, then we hoof it and they say don't do that, well what the **** do you want. I sit in the west stand and unfortunately it is full of moaners, who have no idea about football.
Where I was you couldn't hear anything. But then I sit in the West Stand. It's been like that for a while.
Frustrtaing, but at least the players cannot hear them, but the club can count their coin. It might have been a poor game, but the result and the nature of the goals were a real relief!
It was quiet in the first half especially, but I didn't hear criticism or abuse of the players. That first half was one of the dullest and disjointed 45 mins of football I have ever seen, from both sides. Followed by a really exciting 2nd half. Goes like that sometimes. The players and the fans pick each other up at times, I know it shouldn't always be like that, but cold Tuesday nights with 15k in attendance are not always cauldrons of noise. Everyone, fans and players alike, gradually warmed up. All happy in the end.
the ref was awful, played to the crowd so was extremely bias, seen the red on the tele and it wasn't even a foul, 50-50 tackle joke...
Ffs, he was a **** of the highest order. Three minutes consultation with linesman and chat to book Meyler for a foul. He reminded me of Barraclough in Porridge, letting the players tell him what to do, and refusing to deal with their time wasting keeper.
Ref was fairly average. Championship refs seem to buy every dive, cheat and ploy in the book though. The difference when Webb took charge against Huddersfield was very much apparent. Stuff like the free-kick given against Gedo supposedly for a 'shove' or 'push' there was really nothing in that, but the refs&linos seem to give them every time. Whereas, there was a similar incident against Huddersfield involving Quinn near the corner flag and when their lad threw himself to the ground, Webb just told him to get up.
I agree regarding the lack of quality in the first half, but to be fair to the midfield & defence it was like a ****ing War of Attrition. The forwards, if you can call Koren & Simpson forwards, didn't hold the ball up at all, and consequently it kept being returned with increasing pressure, creating a 'kick the ****er anywhere' situation for the lads in midfield and defence! As regards the ref, he was an out & out twat, their keeper had been time wasting from minute one at each and every goal kick, not a word was said, as soon as we go one up and Stocks imitates the same tactic the ****er goes over and has a word. ALL WE WANT IS CONSISTENCY YOU ****ERS! Allahu Akbar!
I agree with what Aggers said. I thought he was even ****er than Atwell at the weekend and that's saying something. Their keeper kept taking the piss with the time wasting and he did nothing about it, but the minute Stockdale had to go behind the goal to get the ball he came over and had a word with him.
The ref was terrible , if you don't notice the ref he's done a good job , sadly I noticed he was a clown , didn't think it was red but haven't seen a replay , missed some obvious fouls and dithered giving the impression he didn't know the rules I never understand why people get on the players backs , when has that ever helped anybody ? get behind the team
I agree completely, moaning about 'backward passing' just lets everyone around you know you haven't got a clue about football. However, today it wasn't just a case of assing backwards, we were making a tackle and having a chance to counter but then playing it all the way back to the keeper when we had a big chance to get men forward. It was ridiculous in that first half today. Agreed. Webb is a top ref. The two fouls in the SW corner tonight against Gedo were ridiculous. One in particular where the defender jumped in the air and waved his arms with Gedo stood behind him. Everyone just laughed at him in the stand until the ref actually awarded a free kick for it. Madness it was.
A lot of our so-called fans are dicks who know nothing about how to play and have never seen good football. There's a bunch of morons behind me in East Stand who just shout "kick it forward", "snap him" or "not like that" all the time....I swear I'll do time for strangling them one day.
