Ok, so we have HBA's return imminent so I just wanted to get people's opinions on this wonderful headache that pards is gonna have pretty soon.

So our back 5 pretty much set in stone....

    Krul
    Debussy--Colo--Saylor--Santon

So who do you pick for our front 6, and what formation do you go with.

For me we have to have 6 from the following 7 in the team when fit, but I can't for the life of me think what our best formation would be.

    HBA
    CABAYE
    TIOTE
    MARV
    SISSOKO
    CISSE
    LE GOUFF

WE seemed to play some decent stuff at the back end of last season with 3 across the front, but that would mean

    HBA --CISSE--LE GOUFF

With Sissoko --Cabaye --Marv across the middle.

Do we swap Le Gouff for Marv tho as Le Gouff seems to track back very well and provide good cover for Santon which I'm not sure Marv would or do we drop Marv in favour of Tiote? The opposite could be said on the other side where HBA would always be up top.

It's a nice headache to have, but one thing is for certain...Jonas should not be starting again for me like...not when you look at the quality that front 6 gives you....that my friends is ****ing frightening!

I don't see many better front 6 players in the prem at the mo in terms of quality and potential.

Can't wait to see HBA back mind. We've missed his creativity and mazy runs and just the sheer anticipation he brings in not knowing whether or not he's gonna lose the ball in the middle of the park and put us under pressure, or take the ball past 5 or 6 players and rifle one into the top corner!

    Over to you lot now!

Agree with this for the next couple but if Cisse is still not firing I'd be tempted to drop him, move Gouff up top and bring Marv in on the left. Might give Cisse a kick up the arse so that he focuses on staying onside.

I would have Anita instead of Tiote and The Gouff instead of Marveaux

Pretty much this, however leave Cabaye back a bit. He's better in a more withdrawn role. He's quite often behind Tiote.

    I'd play this -

    ----------Cisse----------

    Gouff------------------Ben Arfa
    -----------Sissoko-----------

    ------Cabaye------Tiote

    Santon----Colo--Saylor--Debuchy

    -------------Krul-----------

Sissoko and Tiote can cause havoc and Cabaye is withdrawn and unmarked. He's better in a withdrawn role, sort of like Pirlo.

Not sure I agree with this mate. I want Cabaye up near the opposition box to smash one in from distance. He only really goes behind Tiote when one of our CB's has it as he's looking for the ball. He can spray the passes about just as well, if not better, when he's a bit further up field...

This is why he should be in a withdrawn role though. In an advanced role he's easier to mark. In a withdrawn role he'll be unmarked, and when we're attacking he can go forward while the opposition are concentrating on our other players, and he'll arrive at the edge of the opponents box and smash it in.

If he's already up the pitch then a player will spot him and block out his threat.

Slave to the system unfortunately... They made like 90 films out of that formation, there's got to be something to it <ok>

^^^ This would be my choice of line- up with everyone fit. <ok> Aginst most prem midfields, we'd need Tiote & Cabs competing in the middle, allowing Sissoko to surge forward. Cabs still gets the chance o get forward at times, but he can run a game better from a bit deeper. Would like to see Mbiwa have a few run outs.

But I'm not Pards and he'll find room for an Ameobi in there somewhere.

*cough* someone didn't see my formation *cough*

I think we should have a poll closer to the derby game... Cisse or Shola? I know who I'd pick. And he isn't called Papiss.

So many polls, so many formations. I think we should just put the names on slips and pull eleven out and play them in the position they're drawn out. ie, first one out plays in goal, ninth one out is the striker etc etc.

Could make for an interesting game.
