****ing embarrassing!!! we don't even deserve to aspire for top 6 let alone 4th. Without sturridge we really are ****ing pathetic. How we lost to such a dismal side is beyond me.
So ****ing depressing this **** of a game! Gone from draws at 2 of the hardest stadiums to get points from and deserving wins from both to ****ing 9th in the table. Guess this shows just how much of an impact sturridge has had for us
Boys and girls did we really expect anything different. This is what we have done for years. Get our hopes up then **** it all up. Time and time again they do it. I wish I would learn.
That's the issue though. Its time we learnt that a team happy for us to keep the ball & pass it in front of them isn't "dominating": its being hustled. We have no belief up front if we have time on the ball. Set pieces, slow build up: give us time to second guess ourselves & we'll do it. And our defence/midfield gives us plenty of time to think about if.
DISGRACEFUL,!!!!! That result was on the cards from the moment shelvey was picked (not that I'm necessarily blaming him) just a negative selection tbf. West brom did just the same last year. Just as we think we are turning the corner we have a ****e game like that. Add to the fact that Foster, who is usually pretty crap, had a blinder. We finally win a dodgy penalty and ****ing miss it. Oh well back to the drawing board.
Aye, true enough. The system isn't growing on me at all, passing needs to be quicker and a lot more direct. Having said that, we created more than enough chances to win this game. This was a poor result, but that's nothing new. We'll have plenty more before the season is done.
Yeah so jobless ****s like you can post on a match thread that you've no relevance to... how is it that ****s like you even exist. You must've been sitting around the whole game waiting for it huh
Well.... that didn't go as planned... It's quite hard not to find it amusing but I know what it's like. Swansea, QPR and Southampton did it against us...
I know we are all angry and slating the team but bar 2 awesome saves from Foster and a penalty save we would have won that game comfortably. It's all about taking our chances again, we had 3 or 4 clean cut chances and the keeper had a blinder coupled with a bit of poor finishing cost us. At 0-0 with 10-15 mins to go teams think they can nick it and we seem to forget that they are capable of scoring given a chance. Missed Sturridge big time today, reckon he would have had a field day.
Somehow steers the ball around the outside of the post when a straightforward touch with his left foot would have put the ball in. Attrocious waste of money.
